I don't know what's going on, so I probably won't be much help. Those don't seem like normal nightmares, that's for sure. But you know what they say: "the only thing to fear is fear itself." Regardless of whether or not these are simply nightmares, or something greater, you still have to beat the fear. No matter how overpowering it may be, you have to face it. |

Yeah, sounds just like sleep paralysis/hypnagogic hallucinations to me. Nothing is "keeping you" anywhere. Your fear seems natural, but comes from lack of knowledge on the subject of sleep paralysis and hypnagogia. Read up on it. |

Yeah, you're describing sleep paralysis. It can be extremely frightening, but understanding exactly what it is will be a huge relief. This video does a good job of explaining it: |
