DV Interactive Role Playing Game

What is DV IRPG?
DreamViews Interactive Role Playing Game (DV IRPG for short) is a drawn RPG based game. I will be drawing out scenes, monsters, etc. that you, the poster, will come up with. Everything will be 100% drawn by hand.

I wanted the character to do X but instead you did Y.
I haven't yet thought of a way to choose which post to go off of yet. That can be decided later though, as right now it's just about choosing who we play as.

How will fighting be done?
I am currently writing a C++ program that will control these things. Right now I'm working on the leveling up. It's being handled as (player level) / 1.3 = x * (profession trait). Still lots to do though. Random drops, randomizing monster stats, etc. etc...

Will we gain companions?
Most likely yes. Of course, such things probably won't come until much later.

What is our quest?
I have a couple ideas for a quest, but such things won't be revealed until we get to them!

How should Actions be decided?
Someone will start off with an action, such as "Talk to that person", then the 2nd poster would decide what to say to that person, like "I hate you". Remember that I may not do every action posted, especially if it comes up to like 10 posts without me doing something (like if I'm asleep or afk).

To start things off, we need a character! Here's how this will work...

The first poster will choose a race from the list below.
The second poster will choose the gender of the character. (Male or Female)
The third poster will choose the character's profession from the list below.
And the fourth poster will choose a name for our character. (Try not to use bad words for a name, and you can't use your real or forum name so be creative)

Meet Vogun. He is a Red Mage. He has a good balance between magic and fighting, which makes him a pretty all-around class.

You can always check his Items, Magic Abilities, or his Party. This post will be updated when Vogun equips new armor or weapons.

You really have no plans for today, so how about going out and exploring?

I say glance around the room for any points of interest. I wouldn't leave to explore before we know if there's a super awesome thing we can bring along just lying about the place!

Things won't be colored in. This is to save time so I can get these out faster and won't have to worry about deciding what colors to use. If something IS a specific color, then it'll be drawn in that color instead of black.

You look around the room. The only interesting things you have (if they can be called interesting) is a desk with no chair, a bed, and a storage chest.
You decide to open up the chest.

You found a crappy wooden shield and 20 gold!
Will you take the items?

You take the Shield and 20 Gold. You walk out of your house and decide to head West.
Unfortunately you never learned to tell which way is what. So instead you decide to go to your left.

You see another shack next to yours, a tree, a broken wooden wheelbarrel, and a large castle.
The castle has two people guarding the front gate, as well as people walking along the edge of the caste.
What shall you do now?

Knock on the door of the other shack and await answer. If nobody answers, let yourself in.

You walk up to the door and knock on it.

You wait and wait, but there is no answer.
You notice that the curtains are closed, then realize that you don't even have curtains in your house.
You attempt to open the door, it's not locked, but something heavy is blocking it.
What will you do next?

Go back to your own shack and pick up the pen on the desk. Use the pen to draw a new door on the other shack and then try opening that door.

You head back into your shack.

You look at the note on the desk.

It seems to be a torn page out of a book.
All you can read is the top of the book which says, "Beginner's Guide to..." The last part is cut off.
Below it reads, "Monster Book" You assume the book is about monsters.
You might be able to take it back to a Book Store inside the Castle to get a new one.
