Thread: Supermodels are repulsive to me.

Yeah, it is even a bit sickening to look at them... and I assure you that it's not because I'm jealous. They're just all so coldly, robotically homogenized and engineered to hypnotize and sell things because of their looks. The very concept of models and supermodels is not healthy or natural in the first place, to just be used as pretty objects. They should be human beings, not fembots. What's worse is the implication that every woman should look like one of these fembots. The whole thing is a result of industrialized consumerism and capitalism gone wild, which is another can of worms. It starts to literally destroy people when it comes to things like anorexia, even the models themselves.

So yeah... I'm not a guy, but I agree.

I'd enjoy torturing them with cheeseburgers.

what's with all the hate for the models themselves? wouldn't it make more sense to target the industry instead of those who choose to work in it?

I think most models are repulsive. Some look good but most are just way to thin, besides i don't even know what black heart is inside of those demon looking creatures.

I like 80% of the girls i see at first sight i think ur all just way too fucking cute.

So everyone who has responded and voiced their opinion on these forms of female have unanimously voted that they do not like what they see. Either I got responses from a minority, you guys are lying, or the industry itself has the wrong idea about what beautiful people are.

However, this is apparently what still sells. I am still trying to figure out if the industry is wrong, or if the most commonly admired face is... *that* face. You know... the duuuuuh supermodel face.

The stereotypical supermodel twigs are pretty creepy but not all of them have the same gaunt figure that after-school specials will have you beleive. As for them looking "identical," take a bunch of woman within the same weight/height range and you're bound to find similarities. Hell, a lot of them look like women you'd see at the mall except they're much more done up (all the makeup can be off-putting though). I don't fawn over them but I'd be lying if I said all supermodels were grotesque.

I'm not sure what you mean by supermodel. There are a few images that come to mind, and some I do think look attractive. I can understand why most males would be sexually stimulated by them. The problem comes when it's assumed that the image (small waist, giant breasts, long legs, blonde hair, pretty smiling face) is the ideal for all males, and what all women should strive for. It's obvious from this thread that the former fact isn't true. It's a problem when a 5'4 woman finds herself unattractive because she thinks she's too short, or when a perfectly attractive woman happens to have a smaller body type (which I also see attractiveneness in) with small breasts and thinks her body is hideous.

Some models have very pretty faces, but I don't like some of their bodies, way too skinny, plus only bones don't feel good against your hands or body O.O

I think supermodels are beautiful.

A lot of supermodels have an androgynous look, which sometimes is disturbing.

are you talking about the ones in commercials, and stuff like that. Or the rakes that model clothing?

Maybe you should post a picture as an example. There are those weird looking clothing models that look anorexic, and then there are the Pamela Anderson bodytypes, and probably more.

I agree 100%. Not to mention, the shows themselves are a complete waste of time - no one wears the the clothes they're modeling, and all it does is make them look like human barbie dolls.

As a guy, I agree with this.

I also agree with catbus a little bit. A girl walking around in a bikini eating a cheeseburger doesn't make me want to go to carls jr. It actually makes me not want to eat their ever again, but for some reason the people in the industry seems to think that it works.

Oh and, a lot of them models have a robot-like face that I can just never get attracted to. Don't they look like robots sometimes?
