The grammar of that sentence is perfectly fine. Grammar doesn't include spelling, does it?

I don't, but this is something I learned while learning to speak English, primarily from my parents. If I had ignored them then I wouldn't be able to speak. I asked them because I was wondering if it was them I got it from, not because I was going to believe that whatever they said was right.

I doubt English will ever be spelled phonetically.

Also it really bothers me when people use hyphens in places they don't belong, such as before most prefixes. You're only supposed to use them before ex-, self-, and all-, with a few exceptions (such as anti- before a word beginning with "i"). Not using hyphens at all is just as bad :C

I'd be willing to place $100 that it will. In America anyway.

"I would have come to the party only for you" or is that came to? Why?
Or should you avoid such sentences entirely by saying something else lol?

Have come. You'd use came for just "I came to the party"
