Teachers at my school give SO MUCH HOMEWORK. I have like an hour of homework per class. I dont have the time! I'm trying to balance school, my social life, and Dreamviews xD.

I should've done all the homework that I didn't do when I was supposed to. I'm already failing 3 classes less than a month into this school year. If I don't do anything, I'll have to go through all of that again next year. If I do everything, I don't have any time to do anything else.

I've been out of school for quite a few years and I still think homework is one of the dumbest, most useless things invented. Fuck that shit. If I could do school all over again I still wouldn't do homework. Class is for working and learning, home is for enjoying and resting.

I hope I have a good conversation like last week with my counselor this coming Friday, though I worry if she'll ask if I participated in any organizations as yet. If I keep showing her I'm being socially isolated on purpose to make sure I don't mess up my grades, she might just...I don't know...

I can't spend 3 hours playing table tennis, racquetball, or going to some anime/manga club when I could be taking a small break, and then going back to finishing my online homework and studying for things. Man, I understand that I have to balance my life, but it's not as if I'm spending forever in this university/college, it's just 2 more years (hopefully) left, and THEN I can worry about balancing my life.

When they say you have to balance things out, and then make snide remarks when I respond "I hope to go to medical school," because they think it's going to be too hard for me, and then go back to "you should take advantage of the REC center and enjoy what's included in your tuition," and then them knowing I can't get bad grades, or I get kicked out, face a father who won't stop nagging if I dropped out of college....

Are counselors just there to add more salt to the wound? This isn't helping me at all, but I have to go there because it's part of the agreement I signed up for...ugh.

I can't keep up this pretentious affection towards this very nice lady who's making some effort to helping me out. And I also saw my math exam grade....L O L, wonder how I'm going to do now. I don't think the teacher is going to curve the grades at the end....then again, she is a first time professor in this field....so maybe we're like her guinea pigs...

LOL, look at me trying to rationalize and assume what she'll do, I'm really pathetic, I keep getting my hopes up, only to have them rejected in the end. Guess the moves have been played, and there's no turning back now. Eh......

Anti-rant: Finished lab report, think I might get a decent grade on this, despite of the many shortcomings of needing extra time for filtration and all...

I "died" earlier. I laid down to take a brief nap before going to the grocery store and I was in lala land for 3 hours.
I had terrible dreams though. I dreamed of a large number of corrupt cops and about one female officer being forced into the trunk of an unmarked car though she was naked. I made a huge stink about their actions and said I would report all of them.
Then me and some guy were being pursued and a bunch of female officers standing guard duty had their throats slit. WTF? What messed up dreams!!
They were inspired in part by both an episode of Prison Break and then Covert Affairs. In Covert Affairs someone had their throat slit but in Prison Break it was just a threat. But I guess the visuals stayed with me and spawned that crazy dream!

I cursed you?! I'm the culprit for your bad dreams?

Balance? Impossible.

You might have the time for school, social life and dreamviews, then you wouldn't have enough time to rest and slack around.

I dislike counsellors, I was sent to one during secondary school by my teacher because of my negative thoughts. I don't see how she's trying to help me other than telling me how important studies is and flaunting her daughter's gorgeous grades. I dislike the fact that they're not trained in psychology.

I skipped work today. Roughly around 2 months ago, I was accepted for a job. 1 and a half month later they wanted to cut the people by half. I was late often so getting terminated was no surprise. But going back to work after termination didn't feel good. This is supposedly my last week. I don't feel any attachments for that company anymore. Screw it for their mass recruitments, mass OTs, then mass termination. I know a couple of people who have already tendered their resignation letters.

My friends at my job can't bear to see me go, initially I was reluctant but now I don't feel anything anymore. I've been spending last week doing nothing much most of the time. They suddenly had too many people so we didn't had much tasks. Weird company, my next job needs to be much, much closer to my house with proper working hours so I wouldn't feel too shagged everytime I need to get out of the bed.

lol, not really Carrot. You wished for me to sleep well I DID, but had bizarre and disturbing dreams. But that's the fault of the shows I've been watching.

to all the students. I'd lie to the Counselor Link. It's not like they stalk you to see if you're actually hanging out with someone (I hope!!!) Unless you find their help to be genuine HELP in the long run. If not, screw it.
I agree that homework is terrible. I heard something like students are to expect an hour of homework per week per class. But I think that's a very LOW figure. My kids always refused to do homework too but they suffered greatly for it (for that and their many absences and not doing well PERIOD )
I don't remember having that much homework when I was a kid. But I was failing several classes lol, so maybe that's part of the reason why

I've not been back to bed. But I've taken a Nuvigil and 2 Caffeine pills to avoid doing so.
I took one of those caffeine pills at the same time as the Nuvigil and it barely kept me awake. What the heck?! I am MORE than caught up on my sleep. I should NOT be this tired!
But I sleep like crap for the most part, so that's the real reason.
It sucks but I should be used to it by now. For at least 12 years, I either toss and turn all night or freaky dreams get me too hyped to rest properly

Zhaylin it's time you cut down on those spooky shows. Watch some cartoons and fantasy shows.

Talk about bad dreams, I think I was attacked by someone in my dream, so I was running away but my dream sort of went in a slow motion for a while and then I came up with a genius idea to hide in the rubbish bin so he couldn't find me.

Try an hour every class every day. In my English class we're reading two books right now at the same time as she's teaching us all that useless grammar crap. Why do we need to learn that? I'm not going to write a song and say "I need more adjectives!"

@ Zhaylin my oppurtunistic ways are a direct result from being friend zoned by women I found attractive. There was this girl who I was really close with for years, (like 20) but she always had a BF. Finally she was about to be single and I moved in and got shut down. After that, I decided to never wait. Even after that I specifically asked a girl out on a date AND to let me know when she was single so I could take her out, and she still did the "oh, I didn't know you liked me" thing when we finally went out.

Not really, knowing it at one point made me more cynical about women, but for you, you took the initiative to start hunting them down and not wait....I should be jealous.

Well I eat very unhealthy. Such as fast food (pizza, fries, noodles,..). And I don't excersise at all. o:

Well, it couldn't hurt to mix it up a bit. I mean, you're 18 so it's not going to be the end of the world if you still eat a bunch of junk food, but it does make a difference in the way you feel the more often you do it. You could try changing your diet up for a short amount of time and do a little exercising at the same time and if it makes you feel better then you could try to make a habit out of it, which should be easy if it's already making you feel better by then. The sooner you get into living healthy the better off you'll be.
