Well, I can avoid them forever, why not? They deserve to die alone.

      more Anju.

My rage is that we have a water leak Or course, it's under the house behind the black plastic and insulation I went down there with an x-acto knife to see how bad it was and breathed in a slight amount of insulation dust and got it in my eyes As if my allergy eyes weren't tortured enough
Hubby needs to hire someone to take care of this. All the insulation I put up has fallen. I don't know what I'm doing and lack the tools if I did. Everything has to come down to even GET to the leak, which means, everything needs to get put back *rage*

Hubby's going to be too exhausted to hear about this today, so I'll keep the water shut off at the main (inside) which will do absolutely NOTHING seeing how the leak is BEFORE it reaches inside. forget that then. We need to clean some more.
The leak is a small one. The water pressure hasn't suffered in the least. Gah! Then again... the water leak is at the back of the house where everything's shut off. We only knew about it because the floor to Miley's bedroom is wet.
Hubby's not going to want to hear about this until Thursday at least.
The water company has always gotten ahold of us in the past about water leaks. Maybe it's very small but has been building under the plastic for a long time? Or maybe they're just going to charge us an arm and a leg.

Time for a shower and major eye irrigation...

      **EDIT**
I may have solved the mystery. The water (I think) is from our "grey water"- the water LEAVING the drains in the house. Our shower has been backed up forever. It doesn't have a trap on it, so I just figured it had a razor cover or hair deep in the drain where I couldn't reach. The shower always drains, it just drains slowly. Before you finish, the water pools around your ankles. I just took a shower and it wasn't as big an issue as usual. It still drains slowly but there was an immediately noticeable difference.
The backed up drain has been an annoyance for some 6-12 months?
If I'm right, when we do a lot of laundry (as recently), the water can't exit the black plastic fast enough... with winter and freezing the leak may have gotten bigger?

I don't know. I'll have Miley go under next and put a massive gash into the plastic. Once it's drained, I'll take another look (and if it's gray water, it should empty fast enough).
Part of me is thinking "Woot! I don't need to bug hubby at all if this is the case." But the other part of me cringes and wonders how we have any electricity at all (most outlets have blown out) and how we've not died.

I am happy because last night I had the time of my life.
But I am sad because I was too intoxicated to remember any of it.

There was a completely sober driver, so big thanks to her for making sure nothing bad happened. Regardless, I think I really need to never drink liquor again because it has a way of erasing my memory and making me do crazy things.

It's important to remind myself that it always seems like a fun idea at the time, so I cannot be fooled by that. For me personally, it rarely ends up well, and even when it does it always ends with regret. Better to just avoid it altogether, I think.

Zhaylin, I'm whistling all day Sometimes I sing but I like the sound of whistling much better, it also sounds more like a violin. I hope my interests don't shift, at least for the next 5 years, because I am about to quit school (after getting my diploma in a few months) and make my whole life about mastering the violin.

Also, among loving mothers, I think there is no such thing as better or worse, nobody can do better than 'loving'

And I don't think I will ever have kids or even get married, I would be spending too much time on music, but who knows? I can barely even predict my level of motivation for the next day, let alone my long term future.

Here's my complaining: I am sleepy and want to go to bed so I can get up early and start practicing on the violin, but I just had some chocolate and my teeth are nasty but I don't want to brush my teeth because it's too boring. I also don't want to sleep before brushing my teeth. And I am watching a good romantic comedy now (When Harry Met Sally), I want to keep watching because it's a great movie but I am really sleepy. I'm also quite cozy here, with everybody asleep and I beat my brother at table tennis so I feel good too. That's 3 reasons to stay and 1 reason to sleep so I don't want to go but I am really sleepy.. End of complaint. Will my lack of discipline ever end?

Self-discipline is an art I have NEVER mastered. If you do, tell me your secret please I spent all day sleeping instead of cleaning and motivating the others to do the same Tomorrow will be a very busy day.
Grats at beating your brother. That feeling is always great, no matter how old you get
Out of all the instruments, the violin is one of my faves (piano is number one because I can always play a tune by ear; the flute is number 2 because I can fumble my way through playing it and I LOVE the sound, so the violin is number 3). Out of all the instruments, I probably listen to the flute the most though.

When I was a kid, I would sneak out of the house late at night for peace and tranquility. I'd sit beside the house and whistle. There were always insects carrying on and if I whistled a certain note, the sound ??? sort of vibrated, harmonized in an amazing way. I've never gotten that in West Virginia (I was in Florida as a kid). It must of been a certain bug, reptile and/or the lay out of the homes and street.

Acatalephobic, it does sound like you had a great time. It's great you know your limits and weaknesses.

      My rants:
I'm probably wrong about the water. Everything's shut off and I'll take a better look in the morning. Miley cut a lot of plastic/insulation and it seemed to her to be coming from within the house. Because of the location, I imagine it's the sinks from the abandoned bathroom. I turned everything off back there eons ago, so the leak is probably in the line right before the shut off knobs That's easy enough to remedy. I just cut the pipe and block off the end with the water. I may just remove the entire stinking line. I also need to go to the dump tomorrow and see how much it costs to drop off bags of trash. We have tons of bags accumulated because we fill our two cans quickly.

Another rant is that I lost a lucid. I found myself in an RPG dream and I took a portal to a realm much too high for me. Every time I spawned, I ended up in the same spot, only to be killed right away I FINALLY got out of the dream loop of dying and spawning but in my haste to leave the area, I flew too high up. I was in the atmosphere, realized I was dreaming, and lost the clarity needed to continue
Then I rolled over in my sleep, felt a bump, heard a splash and woke with a start because I knocked over about 42 ounces worth of Coke all over my floor and my shoes and ALMOST my iPad

Another rant is that I got 3 dud coils last Wednesday. This last one of 3 is burning my throat to bits. I have to prime it before every puff.

A rave is that i like the song "you'll remember me for centuries" but I KNEW there was another song meshed with it. i could hum the tune. I knew the entire tune, but only a few vague words: cafe on the corner, window, glad to see you? I tried googling it; had NO success. In desperation, I googled "song du du du du du du du du" and I actually found it! Someone on Yahoo asked the same question and one of the suggestions was "Tom's Diner"

Hey I am discovering singers at a YT channel that I found because of violin music. His sound quality is amazing, even better than on CD's I bought, at some recordings I almost don't feel bad about not being able to hear them live because the quality is so damn good. Still, it makes me wonder what they would sound like live..

Here are 3 recordings of singers I have just discovered in the last 30 minutes, tell me what you think! Don't forget to listen at max quality
This one is like a lullaby
This is just a great, catchy and tasteful pop song
I liked this one the most
I also noticed how damn beautiful some of these women are, damn! I Googled classic beauties and damn! Double damn!!

I often have the second song stuck in my head I loved the voice of the last woman. Just wish I knew what she and the first were saying

      Here's some of my likes:

It's on a loop after around the 3 minute mark...

There's some slight squelching issues towards the end but this song gives me goosebumps every time. I REALLY need to organize my favorites folders. This is what I found in a quick search but there are much better versions of it.
All of Jekyll and Hyde is awesome.
Hubby and I binged musicals in New York some 15 years ago. This was my fave.

Here's one of the lesser productions. I hope I share the link right. If I did #4 is one of my favorites. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sK4WsjmrJZU (I didn't, so here's #4 http://youtu.be/h1z2lf-VAWw?list=PLB135F98AE9670DF6)

My rant is that I will now be binging YT for the next several hours. Thanks a lot Ginsan
A rave is that I managed to pack a box, clean a bunch of books and throw out a bunch of trash. Only 20 more boxes or so to go I'm trying to transfer everything from raggedy cardboard boxes into plastic containers. Then I'll move it all into the big garage so my eldest can take over the master bedroom (which is now just storage).

I broke the news about the water leak to hubby last night. He woke at 10PM in a decent enough mood. He handled it well and expects me to take care of it today. When it comes to maintaining this home, he feels like calling in pros is like hiring people to polish the brass in a sinking ship. I understand that, but I still have to live here. What I wish he'd understand is that I can put a bandage on a problem but before long it's like an infection that spreads and before you know it gangrene has set in. If we had called in a "doctor" to begin with, we'd avoid MORE problems and MORE expenses later on down the road.
Mixed metaphors, but I don't care. Y'all get the idea

Tonight, I have to take Paula to donate plasma, my eldest to counseling and me to the mall. Gah. Some time between all of this, I need to get some sleep. I may try to do so now.

I want this week to be over already, 'cause it's been so shit. I went out with some classmates Sunday night and I got home at 5am, but I had school so I didn't really sleep much that night. And I just felt so sick the entire day, and not to mention my headache. We also had an assignment due Monday, and my two friends asked me if they could see mine, so I showed them. Then they both put their names on my assignment and handed it over to the teacher?? Which really pissed me off bc I worked for hours on my assignment and they basically took credit for it. But I don't want any arguements or fights so I didn't tell the teacher about it.

Work experience on Tuesday was pretty awful too, I couldn't seem to do anything right lol and it was really really stressful. But I started taking fish oil omega 3 capsules which is good for the heart and the brain apparently and I woke up the next morning, recalling 8 vivid dreams, so that was the only upside to that day. I hate myself for not taking this earlier, my dream recall improved so much and the dreams just feel so real.

And today's the last episode of american horror story: freakshow and I don't know what I'm gonna do with my life when it's over

      Feel better soon, Crashyy.
I've not kept up with AMHS. I loved the first season.

I just woke up. Going to tackle the pipes in an hour- then it's off to the "big city" until 8 PM. gah!
I'm such a fidget. If I'm sitting with my feet (or rather, my foot, because I always cross my legs lol) on the ground, I bounce my leg. A lot. I finally counted it. Around 110 bounces a minute And I'll bounce forever. I should have Hulk muscles in my calves

A rant and rave is that I've found a new "food". Even slim jims and jello w/ fruit has been killing my stomach lately. During a pain episode, I was drawn to Sheetz milkshakes- cookies and cream and peanut butter cup. I've been alternating between those two flavors for at least a week now.
I felt stomach punched as I took my son to work yesterday. After just 2 sips of milkshake, the pain went away. I don't know which helps though: having something of "substance" in my stomach, the coldness of that something, or the milk in it.
They cost about $3.50 and fill me up for 6-8 hours. Yesterday, I had 2. One for breakfast, one for dinner. And that's it.
the rant in that is: not nutritious. AND there's 590 calories in one shake.

Hmm, there's another reason I should take 'fish oil.' Is it just liquid in a capsule? Because I'm horrible at swallowing pills. But if it's liquid, I'm assuming I could easily just dump it into something else and drink it. Supposedly fish oil helps lower your blood lead level? That's what I was told, and since I work with lead it's probably not a bad idea.

No real rants. We got more snow which is always nice. And I'll have some overtime this week, which is nice for the paycheck. One of the departments I work in is on mandatory overtime now, though that doesn't necessarily apply to me. Usually another lady always wants to work, and I'm not one to fight over overtime. But with more departments working, maybe we'll both be needed? I wouldn't mind an extra 8 hours every week. But I also don't mind staying home, so really it's a win-win situation either way.

I'm really bad at swallowing pills too but for some reason they go down quite well.
But yeah it is liquid in a capsule, I'm not sure though if it's possible 'cause it's not inside a 'normal' capsule. It looks like this:

But there is a liquid version of fish oil in a bottle, so if you're really horrible at swallowing pills, then I'd suggest that.

I tried fish oil but couldn't take it. It upsets my stomach. I take D3 for general health, Cranberry for urinary tract health, and Ginko and Potassium for restless legs. If I want weird dreams, Benadryl takes care of that

My rant is that I woke thinking I peed myself. I was sleeping naked, and started my period 3 days early But at least I caught it before a mess was made!!!!!
Another rant is that my back gums are raw and aching. It's hard to eat. I get that every so often. It seems somehow connected to my ears and throat and clears up quickly enough.
Yet another rant is that the back bathroom is going to need massive repairs. The leak has been going on for, probably, a very, very long time. I paid the girls $30. to tackle the job. I would have to look at each piece of rubbish to see if it's important or useful, which would take a million years. I told them to trash EVERYTHING unless it's obviously important or usable.
Apparently, the kids have been using the space for their trash- trashbags that can't fit in our cans; a multitude of pizza boxes- as well as stuff that had originally been stored there. It was, also apparently, the cats favorite literbox

They deserve much more than $30. but it's all I can afford. As soon as the room's cleaned out, I'll bleach everything, look at the pipes and access the flooring and walls. I wish I could just chop off the back of the house and throw it away

A rave is that I bought Minecraft Realms last Wednesday. After losing my most awesome build ever, I'm afraid of making anything. I figured building on-line would give me peace of mind so the $13. is well spent. I wonder if my game will get deleted if I miss a payment though. I was happy to find the Realms card at Gamestop in the Mall.
My FPS still sucks majorly. I'm still hitting around 5. Right now I'm playing on peaceful in creative mode, which isn't too bad. Having bad guys spawn really lags which means the game is pretty unplayable in anything other than Creative. If hubby ever updates my machine, I'll have an awesome world to play in

So, I work in a kitchen and last night just before close I had an infuriating experience that proves the customer isn't always right; for a span of 30-15 minutes before close. The patrons all suddenly decided they wanted food and the severs stacked the orders, slamming us. Last thing to go out was a chicken caeser wrap, this inconsiderate piece of shit sends it back because there's "too much sauce". Listen, if you want less ask for less cuz the same amount goes on every wrap, there's humans back there seving your food, have some consideration for other people. Especially when they've been working all night.

      Spoiler for tl;dr:

There's a lot to learn about working with the public, and I think I have even managed to toughen up a bit in the process. More than anything I think I've learned a lot about how to NOT act like a total asshole. Because honestly, a lot of the time people don't even realize how they come across, I think.

My job has also taught me the importance of going through life truly realizing that you simply can't please them all, even at times when you try your very best. The key is to not let that get you down.

I prefer to laugh about it whenever possible but when emotions linger I usually come to this thread, let it all out, and suddenly the weight is lifted.

I am on Day 4 or Day 5 of a cluster headache. The pain is a dull throb now, so that's cool, but it was fascinating watching my thoughts go so erratic as I was at the height of the pain. Because of it, I have dropped hard off my diet and gained a bit of weight. Now, I am hoping this dull ache will give way to nothing, and I can diet again.

So any deviation from what they want is usually met with some level of annoyance or self-righteousness, if not outright anger.
There's a flipside to the experience of dealing with those people, though. For every truly mannerless, self-absorbed fool, there's at least one person who makes a point of greeting and offering support to every service worker they encounter. It's a quiet, constant revolution, and once you recognize it, it feels almost like a secret handshake to meet another person's eyes and say "Hello," or "How's it going?" with a willingness to listen to the reply. Those people have all come to the realization in my sig, one way or another, to one degree or another:

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.
Of course, the vast majority of people walking through your door could go either way, which is where you come in as a service professional. The person who walks in your door distracted, letting circumstances dictate their mood and behavior, has ceded control of the interaction. You have the opportunity to improve their day, their life, and arguably humanity itself. By smiling and acknowledging their personhood through simple, sincere courtesy, you might nudge them from anger to calm, from calm to contentment, or from contentment to mirth. Do it consistently, and every once in a while you might nudge someone right into the realization above, and send them out into the world doing likewise.

For me, when I was a server, I made a point of getting through to the people most determined to be miserable, walking around in a shit-bubble of their own making. There's an industry saying, "Kill them with kindness." Coldness, judgment, anger or anxiety are the responses they expect, the ones that reinforce their shit-bubble, and we are in no way defending ourselves by "fighting fire with fire." The way to stand our ground against such a person is with unfailing courtesy and kindness. At the very least, when we remember that they are a person like us and that their behavior comes from the same anxieties that inform our lives, they lose any power to direct our mood or our day.

I feel a lot like that, Taosaur. I always come up with excuses as to why someone's acting like a jerk 'he must be fighting with his girl'; 'maybe her dog died'- that sort of thing.

I've only sent back food maybe twice my entire 40 years of life. And both times were withing the last few months I usually don't like making a fuss so I'll roll with whatever. My dad on the other hand He's the pickiest person alive, I think. If his food is not PERFECT, he'll send it back.

My rant is that my e-cigs are already dying. I JUST bought another one end exchanged one 2-3 weeks ago. They should last a year. The last ones had been lasting around 3 months. It may be time to change brands. But GAH!- the upgrade is almost twice what I now pay on every part. Which means I'll have to take a huge advance from hubby, with much grumbling from him, and have my allowance docked by $50. a week until it's paid off.
Which wouldn't be too bad if my eldest wasn't seriously thinking about quitting.
he's not a good salesman, so Serius (sp) Radio asked to have him and 15 other people (who also suck) removed from the compaign. Which wouldn't be the end of the world if the only thing left wasn't Comcast. My son despises that company.

I'm am REALLY beating into his head that he needs to suck it up until he has something else lined up. I cannot afford the gas to run him to the city and pay for his counseling every week. I just can't do it any more. And if I can't do it, and he doesn't do it, he'll end up in jail for parole violation. Sorry sonny, but y'all are killing me. Everyone needs to get a job and move out already- NOT make things more difficult.

A rave is that the girls finished that back bathroom today. I get to take a look at everything tomorrow. It's VERY nice to have that out of the way. Bleach it, clean it, repair the pipes then find some way to block it off so the animals will stay out of it....

This is exactly why I say you can't let it get you down.

I try to make those that are crying laugh, those that are angry calm, and help even the strangest of strangers. And yet every once in a while there are those that seem to refuse any effort whatsoever.

Of course I will try regardless, that's a given.
Whether you're a stranger to me or not, everyone deserves to smile.
But some people just aren't interested in smiling or being friendly or cheerful.

I'd say though that for every one asshole there's at least a few good ones out there that seem to even the score for humanity. And when that happens, believe me, I take notes.

However, my skin is not yet thick enough.
The negative emotions of others have lost some of their influence on me, but that doesn't mean they don't still sting on occasion.

Seriously, what the heck? Speckles- one of our c. 3 months old kittens, just died. According to all the kids, she was fine last night and this morning. I went out to get my sub from the fridge and saw her laying in their box. I could tell something was wrong, so I pet her and talked to her. She scooched close to me and I squatted and pet her until my feet went numb. Then I set her back in her box and she passed away a few moments later.

I slept all day, so I've not started the bathroom yet
I laid down to go to sleep at 10:30 last night. I was up and down all night. I didn't fall asleep until 9 this morning

My e-cig was getting worse and worse last night. I was about to throw a conniption. Then I unscrewed the tank and the coil fell off User error. I tightened it and everything is back to normal.

I think I'll talk to hubby about getting a bulk advance anyhow though. I'll use it to spay Climber. I think her blood-line is cursed. All of her babies end up dying (this is her second litter), and she needs spayed anyhow. Then once that advance is payed off, I'll have Squirmy spayed, then Ms. Molly and that will be that. If they don't run away first. They've been fighting with RoRo (the one who vanished for 4 years).
      Gah! Too many friggin animals.

      Have a rave.
I finally finished my small e-cig lanyard. It fits Blu and Mark10's.

Compared to the one I always wear which is for my Volcano.

I can't sleep so I decided to do something useful.
      Maybe I should dust next

My rant: urinary tract pain Even though I've not been sleeping, I've been laying down and trying to a LOT. I've had 1/2 a sub and cookies to eat, and that's about it, these past 2 days. I've drank soda, but apparently not nearly enough. I'm very dehydrated. I'm not very hungry though. I REALLY hope and don't catch this new strain of crud going through the house (bronchitis and some other stomach upset). It's probably just my period though. I always overly-hibernate during that time.

Gah! I really thought I was drinking enough. Time to down a lot of water...
