Yea, I read it about that long ago as well. It's a pretty cool how the brain works. I think your sentence doesn't work because it uses a special name. I read all of that but the name correctly. Also, dyslexia jokes: If life gives you melons, you might be dyslexic. Baby, I put the "sexy" in "dyslexic".

Not only that, but also when you can simply see the outlines of the word, with it blank in the middle, the mind can easily process the entire word with ease. Its pretty amazing.

Again, it's most likely unique words that trip up this process. You're not going to know how to rearrange the name Mcalykaa if you don't know it's spelled Mackayla to begin with.

When giant turrantulas [lol] acended on mountains of gold, gladiators cried. :rofl: I added way too many letters in some cases for my brain to fill in the blanks. That was my first read of the sentence, without waiting for my intellect to try to correct what it "saw".

I remember reading somewhere, that this simply just works to an extend. If the words are scrambled up too much, it will get increasingly difficult. I'm sure that this is even more the case with unique or difficult words.
