      Question Consecutive Hours On DV

How many on hours have you been actively on DV at one time with maybe a 5-10 minute break here and there (for going to the bathroom grabbing lunch etc.)

Being physically in front of the computer, one time I was on Dreamviews for over eight hours, with a few short breaks.

I'm logged on all day though.

I should've made this public so we can see who picked the first choice and harass talk to them about their... opinion.

They were probably lying anyway. Well, I just recently hit the stage of being physically and emotionally addicted, so I've spent probably 6 hours a a time here, though my dog won't let me spend much more than that without a break. And yeah, I keep my computer on most of the time and always have a tab open to DV, so my computer stays on indefinitely for days sometimes and I just check in now and then. Well you know - check in for 6 hours...

I don't leave Live Views open as the active tab if I'm away, it wakes my monitor after about 3 seconds cause the page is always refreshing. But I do keep it open in a tab.

My maximum has been 3-4 hours, I think. Not so much lately, but when I first joined I used to take part in ED often (back when it involved a lot of philosophy which I like and wasn't all about politics). I'd spend up to an hour reading previous posts and making sense of them, then spend a long time writing my own, and might do that for a few threads in a row.

I chose 3 hours but it might have been more, I don't remember.

I'd spend more time on it now but there doesn't seem to be much activity anymore, unless I'm looking in the wrong places. I go on after 5 hours away, check my control panel and there are only 3 new threads responded to, and mostly on stupid topics like the hot guys or hot girls thread, or senseless banter topics. So there isn't much to stay on DV for, even if I feel like making posts. If there are no interesting threads to me, and I can't think of anything interesting to start myself, I have no choice but to do something else.

I went on IRC about 2 times and didn't know the people so I just got social anxiety after a couple attempts at saying things and left.

      I have no idea.
I always have DV open in a tab and I frequently check in, though I mostly just lurk.

I'd say 2-3 hours. During the weekends when I'm not doing anything, probably around 4-6 hours.

Back when I joined, I spent so much time just reading on here, so around 3 hours probably. Now I usually don't spend more than 15-30 minutes at a time, unless there's a terribly interesting thread in Extended Discussion.

It seems some people are answering what their average time spent on here is, and others their maximum time. The OP was unclear.

Well if it's not clear, I mean what is the longest time that you've actively been on DV?

When it's slow at work, I'm usually here all day, off and on. At home, I usually don't go too long without checking new posts, unless I'm otherwise occupied. I hardly ever log out, though.

My record has to be somewhere close to 24....hell maybe even 30. I've spent tons of 12 hour shifts on DV as well. Today I think I'm already up to about 8 hours.

Today I'm up to... Well, I think I set a new personal record since I ended up getting early for school. xD

9 AM to 6:37 PM, about 9.5 hours.

Man, sometimes I feel like I have no life.

Your informative statement pleases the hive mind.
