Whats the hidden story behind all of your usernames, why is it what it is and not something else? tell everyone how you made your username. Why it is what it is. My story: For all of you newbies, and people who cant read my signature properly, I used to be Gameoverlord345. But that name was getting old, so i decided to change it up. I decided to simply think of usernames i like. Random cool things were popping in my mind, but then i thought ... 'Solarflare'.... and stuck with it. I know, what a heartwarming story whats yours?

For a long time on the internet I had names I was unhappy with. I tried for years to come up with something original that I liked. I read a fantasy novel called Tigana a couple years ago and there was a character named Dianora. I really liked the name, and experimented with a few variations on it in my mind until I came up with Dianeva. It was original but sounded like it could be a real person's name. I began using the name for all of my accounts online a few months ago. Now it's become part of me and I don't think it will change. The only thing I'm unhappy with is that people aren't sure how to pronounce it when they first see it. I had thought there was only one obvious way to pronounce it but soon found out I was wrong. I didn't know this was a problem until I started playing L4D2 with a mic. But that isn't too big of a deal. I pronounce it Die-uh-neh-vuh. People usually mispronounce the third syllable as 'nee' instead of 'neh'. But I've gotten used to that version too, so it isn't a big deal. It's exactly what's happened with my real name. Alyssa, pronounced a-lee-sa, but so many people call me a-li-sa it feels like it's my name too.

Well, about eleven years ago, I was a really huge Pokémon-Fan, so I chose the latin name of #151 (Mew) as my nickname back then: "Myuu". In the course of time, that derived to "Mijuu", which - in my opinion - just looked better and wasn't taken anywhere because it was my own creation; I then used that name for about six years everywhere on the internet and inter alia for MMOs. Some day, one of my guild mates stated that it somehow sounds like "meow" and from that moment on, everybody just called me "Miez", which is german and means kitty. Because I always separated real and virtual life, a lot of people didn't actually know if I was a boy or a girl ('cause of the nickname, I guess), so they eventually called me "das Miez" ("das" is the neuter article in German). I really did find that funny and started to like it a lot, so I just adopted it and since then I'm known as "dasmiez" (which means "the kitty") all over the Net. So, as you can see, my nickname evolved over eleven long years and therefore has a looong tradition.
