Peta is obviously taking the wrong approach (did you expect anything different?). But really. Too much effort goes into preserving whatever lifeform is cutest or fluffiest, or most majestic (whatever is appealing to us). What about the endangered snails? Salamanders? Coelacanth*? As for the other kingdoms of life... Well, when's the last time you heard about the endangered Psathyrella cystidiosa? That's right; you haven't. Because it is a fungi, and grows in shit. Obviously, a species unworthy of existing. *Coelacanths=Favorite marine fish. A Lazarus species, which automatically makes it awesome. They have a long lifespan, and don't reproduce until their 20's. Also, then give birth to less than a dozen fry per spawn. These rates, coupled with the low population size (<500) and rise in the ocean's dead zone area, mean that things are looking dreadfully morbid for this living fossil.

Or at least change how animals are treated (especially elephants in circuses). In case you didn't know, when elephants are being trained to do these tricks in circuses, they are stabbed and beat at their feet until they obey. Sometimes this leads to the elephants to get a 'hate' so to speak for humans, and break out from captivity and actually attack any people they see. The elephant is then killed because well, it was just crazy right, and started killing people?!? BTW, I have real footage of this. Zoo's on the other hand, are fine, as long as the animal was captive bred, which it would be. Those of you who claim we have to learn to respect each other first before respecting animals. It doesn't matter which comes first, you will just eventually learn to respect all. I have to agree, changing the name for fish to sea kitties is completely crazy and uncalled for. I mean it's not like the fish actually care. To help all of you heartless people out there understand why organizations like PETA exist (Even though these guys are nuts). Humans think, if it doesn't talk, it doesn't have feeling. So it's life is useless and unimportant. So killing it is no problem. For food, is another story. But just for simply killing it. It's sad. I probably took this post to the complete extent and beyond what the OP was even trying to say. But this needs to be said. Earthling. I do not agree entirely with this video. That campaign is obviously solely to raise awareness. Get people talking at least - even if it is for laughs. And it seemengly does work a lot better, than many other things they've tried. I don't agree with everything they say and do, but the public opinion doesn't do them justice. Peta are adressing a lot of serious issues. (environment, society, ethics, health and the food situation in general) Even if you don't agree with their methods, or the conclusions they are drawing, there are a lot of valid and important aspects, that I think need further examination. It might be a bit different, than you'd think it'd be. And I agree, Earthlings should be watched. But be open minded.
