Thread: What Noises Do You REALLY Hate?

Almost anything loud, out of tune notes (if I don't have perfect pitch, I'm close) Rap or Hip-hop, and monotony. (Especially when someone is reading. Is it THAT hard to change pitch? Even if someone does change pitch, often times its erratic and choppy, as if they are a computer noticing a period at the last second. )

Mosquitos.

Anything out of tune. I love my roommate, but when she tries to sing anything above her range, it just all goes go shambles and I have to listen to something else.

And just about anything between the hours of 3 and 6am, depending on when I go to bed.

I hate the sound of someone coughing when i'm watching tv or doing something important. I know they can't help it but it's annoying.

Hah. This. And many other things already mentioned.

Other ones I hate are:

-Dot matrix printers
-Women screaming (I think I speak for a lot of men when I say it brings out an urge to do something violent)
-The sound of cardboard scratching against...more cardboard.
-The sound of my cat licking plastic bags. The sound itself isn't that bad, but when it starts...it never. Fucking. Stops.

Loud coughing. Hurts my ears and drives me crazy! It doesn't help that everyone in the house has the sniffles and coughs right now.

The sound of foam, and Wolf Mother. My ears would bleed if I ever heard the two combined.

As I write this, There is a vacuum going off in the next room.

And people who think that sneezing means being as loud as they possibly can.

People ghhghgh'ing up phlegm in to their mouth. It's relieving when I do it, but someone else

Um, little kids basically doing anything that involves the vocal cords.

Little kids trying to play piano (probably the worst, I literally want to bash their head against the keys and slam the lid. And bite their fingers off).

People brushing their teeth (not the brushing bit, that's fine) in the same sink as me when they spit out their toothpaste, the sight and sound = gag reflex kicking in.

Also sometime when everyone is talking on the bus at the same time, all of a sudden I realise that it's pissing me the fuck off. But I don't catch the bus anymore.

For some reason I don't mind styrofoam or nails on black boards that everyone seems to hate.

Oh and baby's - 10 years olds screaming/crying.

OH! and OMG have you ever downloaded a song off a p2p2 program and its just that corrupted file noise? like BREEEHSKGNAWNWNWNNNNNDSGWEHGAEIA!!!!!!!!

Big list there! But I can't say I disagree with everything you just said there.

I hate when you are at a restaurant and there is a baby screaming it's eyes out. Like honestly people, tell your baby to stfu! You're at a public restaurant, and nobody wants to hear that shit!

The cheap tv's when the sound is low or muted! Like at my grandma's *cringe*. My parents and sis don't even know what I'm talking about! When someone is constantly tapping on a desk or whatever in class, I did that all the time in 6th grade English XD. Two people always told me to stop, I just didn't...couldn't.

Sorry, off topic and double post, but YES I hate this too! I once had it near my nose, its fumes, and, EW! I said it smelled like fireworks, and the dental assistant whathca call her said that no one's ever said that before, others say it smells like burnt toast. It so doesn't! Smells like fireworks!

I hate the sound of someone using sandpaper.

I also hate screaming children. It makes me feel good to know that the kid is crying over something, but I also don't want to hear it cry. Nevertheless, I try to enjoy myself as much as possible, and even make the little shits cry by giving them scary looks. Just one of those fun things to do, but when you're not doing it, you don't want to have a bar of it.

In movies is the worst. There'll be some fucking kid talking the entire way through. I went and saw The Incredible Hulk with my dad, and there were two guys with a little boy sitting behind us. The entire time the fucking kid was playing about making sound effects of explosions and saying Hulk's lines. My dad (who is worse than me when it comes to tolerating background noise in cinemas) had had enough and told the dickheads to shut their kid up. One of them mumbled, "Don't know what you're talking about, mate." as if what the kid was doing wasn't annoying at all.

Also, if your kid is screaming in a MOVIE, why would you sit there like a fucking idiot and try to hush it, when you have all the time in the world to take it outside where nobody would hear it? Are people fucking idiots or what? If I had a kid who was bitching about and screaming during a movie I'd cover their mouth as tight as possible, I swear to fucking god. KIDS HAVE NO RIGHT TO DO THAT

Yeah or just not take your kids to the fucking movie lol.
People think it's bad to tell kids off. But it shouldn't be.
They need to learn how to behave in certain situations, basically be respectful of what other people want when there's other people around.
