Sleep Whisperers and Lucid Dreaming

I saw something on the news about this new thing called Sleep Whisperers, which are apparently videos with people talking softly that put you to sleep and is a potential cure for insomnia. Do you see any practical application for these videos to aid in having lucid dreams? It seems intriguing. I have stumbled across videos like this on YouTube, and I had to turn them off. Whispering, especially into a microphone, is insanely annoying to me. I just can't stand it. It happens in radio ads too, and it just drives me up the wall. However, last year I did have some success with a set of subliminal audio files that a DV user made long ago. No whispering on these, but Ninja recorded some text supposed to encourage lucid dreaming, but mixed it down in the music, so you couldn't hear the actual words. This looks interesting, I don't know if these videos could be used to help with lucid dreaming though, other than helping you get to sleep. I haven't tried these videos but people speaking softly is nice to go to sleep to. For example, I think "The Joy of Painting With Bob Ross" would be nice to listen to while going to sleep.
