      First Lucid became Semi-Aware?

I don't know exactly how it happened, But one minute I'm chatting with a friend in my dream, A friend that lives many states away from me. But we're in my house talking about random stuff. Eventually I notice something wrong, WAY wrong. Mainly because I know she'd never be up in my state.

Eventually I tried something, I got on the floor and tried to crawl/drag my body across the floor while constantly looking at my chest for any changes. I felt no pain or anything during this time.

However For some reason I kept expecting to grow random body parts by dragging my self on the floor. Apparently, and this is if I remember correctly...I was expecting to turn into a girl?

However during that time I did all this, I was kinda semi-aware. Like I was stuck between the thought that this was a Lucid between I'm tripping balls.

Usually lucids are accompanied by an increase in awareness; if it's a high-level one you usually get this big blast of awareness. Either you were experiencing day residue within your dreams (from seeing or doing something so much during the day), if you weren't aware, or if you were, it was a lucid. If so, congrats!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Yeah, It was like a mix between awareness and sleeping. The thing was that for a while it was like a normal day, However a person in my dream doesn't live locally so I wondered why they were all the way up here.

Then when the convo was over between me and them, All of a sudden I felt semi-aware like I wasn't so sure exactly. But I didn't do a RC for some reason. (I normally don't do RC's alot. So I need to do them more frequently in RL so I'm more often to do them in my dreams). But yeah after I got on the floor i felt NO PAIN AT ALL. Like, I didn't feel much except for the feeling of sliding down on the floor.

The whole experience was kinda mind-fuckish. In general it was like a normal dream, but it became semi-aware near the end. Right as soon as I stopped sliding on the floor, I could start to feel my bed on my back even though I was face down on the floor. So I tried to mentally focus on into the dream by thinking about the floor and all of a sudden I woke up. If this was a Lucid Dream then yay. Though I still have the belief that there's the possibility of a semi-lucid dream. Like, Being aware but not being able to do shit except actively participate or something of the sort.

It sounds like a lucid then, even if you weren't aware enough to consciously make decisions like in real life!

Oh really? Nice. I spent weeks trying to be able to Lucid Dream. I spent a lot of time trying to do WILD's which ended up with an hour worth of sleep paralysis. I'd get close but I'd end up screwing up the transition between awake-/-dream

Aside from that, WBTB seems to be more easier.

Any ways I can increase awareness? For some reason it felt like I couldn't control my own body, And it was just when I became aware I was dreaming but I was still doing what I normally was doing in my dream.

I've been the same with WILD for the past few months. I haven't been able to do it since a few months after I joined DV, which is very annoying...

Focus on both external and internal awareness. See if you can feel your heartbeat, see if you're breathing normally, try reading a piece of text. Stop and, if you don't feel like you can truly be skeptical about whether or not you're dreaming, pretend to be. Listen to conversations and see if the discussions are appropriate and realistic. All in all, just pay more attention to things going on around you.

Hmm, I'll make sure to keep note of that.

I'm just about to take a nap and I've already set my alarm for 3 hours from now. Since the first stages of REM sleep usually start around the first 90 minutes of sleep (If i'm wrong then FUUUUU), I'll wake up a bit after or during. I'm not entirely sure. But that's how many hours I slept last night when I went back to bed and the lucid dream started. I just wish I can keep my mind in there instead of playing along. I finally get one step close after a month of trying! I feel so acomplished but yet so far. (I can't spell right now) D:

Hopefully I get some results, I'll update in the morning.

      It's currently 9:06PM when I post this. D:
