      Cool MILD Actually Works!!

      Although I had read extensively about LaBerge's MILD technique, and had incorporated some mantras into my daily reality checks, last night was the first night that I had actually tried to do a real MILD. I woke up at about 4:00 which was perfect because that's the perfect time for me to do any sort of WBTB techniques.

      Although I remembered my previous dream, it wasn't super vivid, but I remembered a very specific section of it quite well. With this in mind I started the MILD. I relived the dream, pictured my self becoming lucid, then though "The Next Time I'm Dreaming, I'll Remember to Recognize that I'm Dreaming".

      This did not quiet work how I thought it would. My mind was a little off task, and I couldn't focus very well. Thankfully I had my ipod and some headphones right next to me that aided in me falling asleep in the first place. I grabbed that and listened to Stephen Laberge's "The Mneumonic Induction of Lucid Dreams" mp3 from his book "Lucid Dreaming: A Concise Guide to Awakening in Your Dreams and in Your Life"

      I repeated MILD over and over until I fell asleep, making sure to have the last thought before I doze off be "The Next Time I'm Dreaming, I'll Remember to Recognize that I'm Dreaming".

      And then that night, nice long, stable lucid dream.

      Contgrats! I've never attempted MILD because I don't like the idea of mantras. I should probably give it a try though...

      Ya you definitely should. If you PM me your email I can send you an mp3 of stephen laberge's guided MILD, it helps a lot in terms of focus.
