      First Lucid dream...?

      Hi forum,

So, I think I had my first Lucid Dream!! In the dream, I was at home, at my grandmother's room, and there were a lot of people trying to break in through a big glass door (that doesn't exist actually), but they were absolutely calm yeah... a pacific break-in... There was some people I didn't recognize trying to lock the door, and they looked at me... and then i went to the corridor, when suddenly i thought (for no reason): I gotta be dreaming!!! Just after thinking that I woke up D: It was really fast... and lame, but it was awesome.
Erm... It can be considered a Lucid Dream? Can I do something to at least keep dreaming after I reach lucidity?

Sounds like you were dreaming, congrats. The reason you woke up is because you got excited. Slow your breathing, and if tell yourself IF you wake up, you will try to DIELD. That way you can go right back into your dream. Always do a reality check when you wake up too, because false awakenings are very common.

      Hi there my friend,
We can safely classify your dream as a Lucid Cream since the main determinant that a person is Lucid Dreaming is to be aware that he or she is inside a dream. Anyways, Congrats on your first LD . Regarding about the excitement, O would suggest that at the very moment you wake up, I suggest you relax and be calm. Stabilize your dream first before doing something else like rubbing your 2 hand and the like. It would really help if you read the official Dream Stabilization Tutorial on order for you to know more on how to stabilize your dream and prolong it so that you can make out the most of it. Hope this helps

      Hey there,
Yeah all a lucid is that you are aware that you are dreaming, so well done on your first lucid.
Good luck and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, oh and control comes with practice, don't worry about waking up right away.

      Happy Dreams

That moment of realization is all it takes to make it a lucid dream. With a little practice and experience, your future dreams should last longer. Sometimes we get too excited and wake up. Sometimes it is easiest to become lucid as we are waking up, anyways. Sometimes we just have a false awakening, and dream that we are waking up. Always try to perform a reality check as soon as you wake from a lucid dream. It is easy to be fooled.
