Cool Shortest forest walk ever / First LD

Found myself walking in a forest this night, not a winter forest like you'd expect with the temperatures we get now, -5 Celsius at the moment of typing. It was more like fall, a very detailed and real looking standard forest. No clue what went on before I got there. After a few seconds I just knew I was dreamimg, don't know how or why I noticed. I was able to move in any direction -I- wanted. Previously, when I noticed I was dreaming, I just let the dream go on, without controlling it. A few seconds later my view was getting mixed up, like white noise on a tv. I started rubbing my hands, which looked so realistic, couldn't imagine that it would look -this- real. Hands rubbing and turning around, the dream faded out. I woke up, with quite a smile on my face and being pretty happy Minutes later, I fell asleep again, can't remember any dreams from then on.

Tho' I ballsed it up, I'm happy. It's another step in the good direction

      Hey, that's great!
It's always fun to have a LD. Now you should work on your stabilization and get goals.
I'm sure there will be more where that came from.
      Lucid dreaming since September 2011!!!
Lucid goals: Jumping out of a car going at high speed and crashing into an oncoming car, completely destroying the car, leaving me unharmed. [ ],
      Visiting moon [x], Proper flying [x], Stabilizing an LD perfectly [x], Shoot lightning/lasers out of my fingers [x], Shapeshifting [ ], Fly a helicopter [ ], TOTY 2013 [ ], Change dreamscene [x].
      Lucids: 16 crappy, 15 good, 5 awesome.

Well, when I first joined here, I had some dreams where me or a DC would talk about Lucid Dreaming
Now finally a first initiation, it's actually a 2nd step for me

I already have some goals, I'm a go back to WWII once I get the hang of it

Something similar has happened to me before - I went lucid and then I woke up almost immediately after. I suspect sometimes it's the waking up that makes us go lucid briefly - like some part of our conscious mind wakes up while we're still dreaming, but then the rest of the mind wakes up too and the dream is over.

Frustrating, but at least its lucidity!

Yea this kind of thing does happen a lot especially when you are just starting out. You are going in the right direction though, keep at it and work on remaining calm and stabilizing techniques but don't obsess over stabilization too much, make it a casual thing you do.
Current goal: Learning pyrokinesis and FUS RO DAH
