      First Long Lucid Dream

My first lucid dream which was pretty long, my others were a few seconds long.

I went downstairs for breakfast and I suddenly realised I was dreaming, I did a finger to palm reality check which didn't work, then I tried a nose plug which did work. I wiped my hands together to attain lucidity which worked. My family were all eating there breakfast, I opened my front door and demanded to fly and I did, I had to say fly every time I wanted to gain height. I started flying over the road outside my house, everything was so detailed and the feeling of the wind hitting me was amazing. I kept flying far away. I landed next to a few dc's and remembered to ask them what they represent, the first one said your failure at maths or something like that. I asked a few more but I can't remember what they said. I walked away from the group of people and a girl ran up to me asking me what I represent. I followed these people to a restaurant. We sat down at a table, I remember persuading them they were dreaming, they didn't say anything. I went out of the restaurant and started flying, I flew back to my house. I got inside and remember asking myself when I'm going to wake up. I went back outside my house and started trying to fly again, but it wasn't so easy this time. Eventually I managed to start flying again. I stopped in mid air and banged on a window, my parents were in the room. I started shouting to them saying you are dreaming, i was in mid air while my mum looked at me, she said nothing but kind of grinned. I decided to go and kill a Dc, I got to the house across the street, the dc's started fighting each other. Meanwhile I started thinking that there would be a sword or knife in my pocket, hoping one of them would appear but it didn't work, my neighbours started stabbing each other, I could feel my lucidity going but I didn't mind, I woke up straight away after that.

      haha thanks

It's twice the finger to palm reality check hasn't worked for me, I have no idea why. The last time when it failed it fooled me and stopped me from being lucid, this time I tried it my hand remained solid and didn't work, only this time I new I was dreaming even before I did a reality check.

Nice story, sounded great. How long did it feel like? 5 minutes?

Felt more like 30 minutes, I kept wiping my hands together like every 5 minutes, which is why I think it was so long.

I was flying for quite a while before I decided to land and talk to DC's.

thats exactly what i have trouble with! keeping lucidity..... i guess i only do the hand rubbing thing once at the start of the dream, i should probably do it more and try to remind myself, this is a dream, i can do anything i desire.

I read somewhere on here that's what someone else did, and it seemed to work for me also.

That’s really funny, but anyways it was an interesting and nice story.

The finger to palm trick fails for me too. Many times. Perhaps I should learn some different stuff.
