I didn't have any HI but instead woke up in my dream to looking at the top of my bunkbed just like i do normally, I rolled out of bed and turned my light on so I could get a good look at my hands, and sure enough I had 3 fingers on my left hand and 6 on my right. I went over to my mirror and sure enough there I was, although I was not in my own clothes but more of a mixture of a girls school outfit and a wife-beater haha..Would this just be a dream because I was able to look in the mirror clearly and read the clock. The clock said it was 9:43 although when I did this it was 5-6am... I thought I wasn't supposed to be able to read clocks and look in mirrors? So would it just be a dream?
With lucid dreaming, pretty much nothing is cast in stone. If someone says you can't read clocks or see yourself in the mirror, maybe that's because that's how it is for him. But there is always plenty of people, for whom it works differently. BTW, you can see yourself in the mirror, just be ready for whatewer you'll see. And you can read the clocks and text in general, but when you look away and then back, it will most likely show something else. But don't be surprised, if it shows correctly. Also use of light switches and electronics - sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
After that I accidently closed my eyes (Funny because just last night i read a thread on how closing your eyes wakes you up) and remembering what i had read the night before kept them closed in hope of opening them up and staying in my dream, but i woke up.
Dreams are made of your thoughts. If you believe something will happen, it most likely will. It doesn't matter if it's true or not. Although this one is mostly true, because when you close your eyes, you lose your connection to the dream and dream has nothing to run on and you wake up. The theory is, if you don't se it, it doesn't exist. So if you don't see the dream, it stops and you wake up.
Right after I woke up I closed my eyes to try and re-enter my dream and it was surprisingly easy, within under a minute i'd say i was back in
That's a DEILD. Good job.
It is so hazy which is unfortunate,
Some of them will be hazy, some will be super clear and focused. You can better your chances at the latter by practicing daytime awareness.
ADA
Sageous self awareness
I remember trying to fly in my court outside my house and my sister and her boyfriend were there. I was excited and quickly told them I was lucid although they didn't even react to that. I tried to fly and didn't know where to start... I started with a small jump and went a few feet, and eventually was able to unstably fly about 50 feet if i focused hard across my court
Try not to 'want to' fly, but rather just get to some place and you see yourself there and think to yourself "let's just fly there". Without thinking about how to fly. Or summon a jet pack, wings, magic carpet, or reach in your pocket and pull out a 0 gravity pill or anything similar.
So i imagined taco bell would be where a local park is behind my house. (I woke up right before leaving for taco bell ) I also told matt that I had $100,000 in my wallet because I felt like... why not? and I opened my wallet but didn't really count my money... just saw that it was relatively the same thickness as it normally is so figured no money had appeared in it haha.
That's how you summon things - you 'know' they are behind the corner, in your pocket, on your back, behind you, behind the door...
But with the money - if you think there is none, than there will be none. Don't assume anything. What if there was 1 million dollar bill. It wouldn't have to be thick, right?
I am surprised how hard it is for me to recall the dream.. I can remember the parts that I know for a fact were lucid but the in between spots are so hard to remember. Such as how I got outside.. I think I got outside when I entered for a second time after accidentaly opening my eyes. I am still remembering bits and pieces, I remember eating something or wanting to eat something and feel like it was in my house downstairs but once again i just can't put it together. I also don't remember anything of the first dream after realizing all my new-found fingers! I know I didn't wake up right after that but i can't remember what i did or where I went... although I remember the end of it when I did close my eyes and wake up the first time.
That's normal. You had so many new things happen to you. Many of it it's hard to make sense of and unless you have time to replay it in your mind before something new happens, it will become lost or hard to remember. That's why some people choose to wake up after 1-2 events to write it down, instead of continuing chaining lucids with DEILD.
But mantras like "I remember my dreams" or similar may help. So can writing in DJ - may make your recall stronger.
Is it possible that it became a dream because I lost control or didn't focus enough after realizing my lucidity? Maybe that is why it is so hazy. And maybe it wasn't even from my WILD, but i thought it was because the whole seeing through my eyelids and waking up thing.
Yes. Lucids do turn into dreams frequently, because we stop telling ourselfs that we are in a lucid. You can keep repeating "I'm dreaming", or do RC every few seconds so you remember you are in a lucid.
You lost your WILD when you closed your eyes and you woke up. Then you got into another lucid called DEILD. When you saw through your eyelids, that's a good thing. It means you were already in a dream.
I will try again tonight and i'll focus more if i do become lucid, because who knows maybe It was all a dream.. but I did wake up IRL both times after closing my eyes in the dream.. I think i only think it was partially a dream because it is so hard to remember.
No, no, it was a lucid. Congrats
Here is a great WILD tutorial (sageous) Good luck.
