Hey all, i'm trying to learn lucid dreaming, but i'm not getting the hang of it. Before I start, I want to know if i've had a lucid dream. So tell me if this was a lucid dream, or an average dream. |

This experience was not a lucid dream. |

You can have some control in a regular dream. The definition for a lucid dream is that you must know while you are in a dream that you are dreaming. So I'm sorry, but those TV dreams were just regular dreams with control. |

What you can do is when you go to bed, focus on that dream TV and tell yourself, "Next time I see that TV, I will question myself if I am dreaming or not" It might be a fairly easy way to accomplish a lucid dream. |

As the other posters have said, Lucidity and dream control are not equivalents. You can have dream control without lucidity (Imagine having a dream that you are God but are still oblivious to the fact that you are dreaming) and lucidity without dream control (Many lucid dreamers struggle with this problem). |
