About a year ago, (I was 19) friends and I started discussing lucid dreaming and how we could achieve it. After that, for the last year, I've been keeping a dream journal! Writing down as many dreams as I can remember in as much detail as I can.

As time went on, I noticed that my dreams seemed to become more frequent. My recall abilities also seemed to improve. Maybe 6 months in, I noticed that there seemed to be more thinking in my dreams, I wasn't lucid, not nearly. It felt as though I was more involved with the decision making within the dream.

A few days ago things got really intense, I think it was the morning. I'd woken up and started to drift back asleep. It felt like I was floating, like I was in zero gravity in my bed. On top of this I couldn't breathe and my mouth wouldn't open, I felt like my throat was sealed! I was getting really panicked as I felt completely paralysed in some kind of half waking sleep! After a moment I managed to breathe through my nose, and gradually my eyes flickered open and the world kind of reformed around me, I hadn't realised I was in such a deep sleep, especially after having woken a little while earlier. I felt a bit shaken up as it was quite an intense episode.

THIS MORNING! I woke up at maybe 8:00am and went back to sleep. This seems to be a time when I quite heavily. The dream was going along as standard, odd dream. I saw a beach rock pool in a drain, and all of a sudden I realised I was dreaming, I was fumbling with my back pack as I got quite a surprise and almost woke up, but fortunately I managed to stay asleep, I decided not to look at the rock pool and ran to a clearing in the area to see what I could do. I decided to try flying (probably bit off a bit more than I could chew), I concentrated so hard, crouched down and leapt, I managed to get a few metres into the air and I believe I could've kept flying, but my stomach started to churn at the height, next time I'll try a go less hard and maybe glide along the ground as opposed to trying to superman into space! After this, I tried to shoot fire out of my hand, I concentrated really hard again and thrust my hand out. Nothing happened, until I noticed a little orange flicker, I looked at my palm and I'd managed to form a little orange flame that hovered above my palm.

They were the only lucid parts, but I felt completely aware that I was dreaming, I got so excited! I knew I was lucid. I cannot wait until tonight where I'll hopefully be able to achieve lucidity again!

One thing I've noticed is that I feeling bloody amazing today, like I've achieved something great!
