One of the most Intense Experiences I can't stop Thinking About

      Hey there,

I had a lucid dream a few days ago that I cannot stop thinking about. It was close to life-changing and gave me a lot of insight as to how my mind works.

Before I get into the dream, I must give some background. The day before having this dream, I took my guitar for the first time in months and played for an hour or so. Playing music is pretty much the only thing that really lifts up my mood at this point in my life, and I felt real good after I was done playing....that night, the following happened.

At the beginning of this dream, which was not a lucid state, I was watching (like a camera) many people searching for an elephant in the jungle to save it from something. I didn't know what it was that was afflicting the elephant, but I knew it was sick in some form or another. They were all trying to find it at night with flashlights and such. There was a little boy who was leading the group.

Suddenly, I'm standing in front of the little boy, who had blond hair and blue eyes. I knew I was dreaming at this point. He looked at me and said "Come with me" and held out his hands. Everything felt very intense. Intense anticipation, joy, a sense of adventure and journeying my reality. The colors were extremely vivid. I took his hands, he looked up, and suddenly we were flying up super fast. Past the top of the trees in the jungle, and into clouds, out of clouds, back into clouds, and out of clouds. We kept going, and the euphoria was almost beyond comprehensible. I thought my body would explode from the joy I literally felt in my chest.

At some point, we stopped flying up. I felt like I was above the world..above the entire universe. I looked down, and saw stars and a galaxy..I saw something simliar to this:

I was looking around in awe, and then looked into the eyes of the little boy. He smiled and tenderly said, "You played music for me today".

At that moment IN MY DREAM, a memory of playing music that day flashed through my mind, and without thinking, I immediately began to cry, and said "Yes..Yes, I did play music for you today". I felt compassion for the child, and felt as if he was my own.

We looked into each other's eyes, and after 20 seconds or so, I instinctually knew the dream was about to end. Everything began to fade, except for my joy. Finally, I saw nothing but pitch black, and felt nothing but the boy's hand holding mine. He said, "Now, I'll play music for you". At that moment, I thought about all the positive, happy thoughts ever pass through my mind throughout the day, and immediately thought to myself, "he is a metaphor of the emotions that give me those happy thoughts". Then I woke up.

It was inspiring and changed my perspective.

      I love Lucid dreaming.

Wow... that's beautiful. I don't think you could have documented that any better. Even I could feel some of that whilst sitting here reading. You'll probably remember that for the rest of your life.

      Thank you for sharing this.

Damn, that is... beautiful, man. I'm really happy for you!
Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably canít. You know the month, the year, the day of the week; you have a schedule, a calendar... Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.
