Yay! I had my first lucid dream! (sort of...)
I've been doing RCs for about 2-3 weeks now and also tried visualizing before sleep(MILD). I also started a dream journal. And, I think, it finally paid off!
Last night I had a dream where I was in the game LEGO Racers 2 (maybe you remember it, it's really old). The world had a low resolution surface with grass and there were a lot of lego buildings, trees, towns and cars. I saw myself (the LEGO car) from 3rd person view and I was just going around places pointlessly.
Then the car stopped for a while. And it occurred to me: I AM DREAMING! The feeling was even better than what I previously thought it would be. I knew who I was, I knew I was dreaming. But the feeling of totally knowing who I am in a dream is unbeatable!
Interestingly, the picture remained the same, it didn't get any clearer and I felt like I was non-existent in the dream scene (maybe because I was a LEGO car from 3rd person view ) So after these things happened to me the picture of the dream almost instantly faded away into total blackness. As I have read some articles on how to get back into the dream I tried to imagine a movie playing in front of me or something like that. In the last moment I tried to move my dream arm but I only moved my real arm in bed .
Maybe it was naturally the end of a dream because I had slept about 4-4.5 hours before that, plus I wasn't excited or anything just got absolutely conscious of myself.
If a fully proper lucid feels like this... plus I can control something.. then I'm in for more!
Are "beginner" lucids similar to this?
I still can't get myself over that feeling that I AM in a dream with fully knowing who I am...
Sadly I rarely find time to update my DJ (on Dream Views) or profile but I do my best.
Oh, and one more question: I started practicing meditation and chakra balancing 2 months ago. Do you think meditation helps with lucid dreaming?
I would be grateful if you took the time to comment on this experience!
Have a good day!
