That would not make sense, seeing as how running, and laying down are two entirely different things. You are right however in that blinking in a dream may temporarily cause vision to fade, and then reappear.
What I was saying is that the dream world is constant. It does not change unless you perceive it to change. If you think you need to blink or are expecting to blink then you will blink. I do not disagree with what you are saying since that is one scenario that may occur when you experience the effects of thinking you are blinking.
Therefore if you were to go through the duration of the dream, and have the belief that you will not blink, do not need to blink, etc. etc. Then in essence you will not blink and the dream will not produce the effects of blinking.
