      Question

A few nights ago, I had had so many false awakenings, that I finally just figured I must be asleep. But the whole time I was lucid, I was thinking about some of the tips this website had given me. my "reality check" ended up being me knocking on a door (?) which would have been reality IN reality so I don't get why my dream-self did that...

Then I remembered that you should check to see how high you can jump. I could jump pretty high, so I decided I'd REALLY prove to myself that I was dreaming.

I walked into the bathroom, and climbed out the window, jumped, and tried to fly. (I knew I was lucid) I'd never flown very high, mostly just glided in normal dreams, i figure since it was lucid, I could make myself do it...

But, my fingers started cracking!!!! WHAT?? and I just fell!! I don't see why I can't just do it, something keeps stopping me from actually taking flight, I don't know what it is....

It's like this radar in my head is saying.. nope, wouldn't normally happen, I'm going to stop you at 10 feet and make your fingers crack so that you fall.. which doesn't make sense at all..

So I wasted time making sure I was lucid in various stupid ways.. and after my failed attempt at flying... I was no longer lucid... and a tree started talking to me... what a waste...

I ran around shouting 'I'm dreaming!'. This also made me lose lucidity when a DC said it was real and I woke everyone up (it was nighttime).

I stopped paying attention to what was going on in one of my dreams.

I tried to show my DC family that I was dreaming even though I knew they would never accept it.

I tried to lead a friend to safety through a giant aquaduct and then got attacked by a mysterious man with a yellow highlighter.

False awakening, and thought it was real and went back to sleep. Too bad I didn't notice the spinning clock hands till after I woke up..
I did that too! However my clock is digital; the time changed from 4:35am to about 6am. So I fell asleep. And became lucid. Then another FA…

Trying to get outside of my room.

My lucids almost always start in my room. They're almost always WILDs. I start off seeing nothing but the back of my eyelids, still aware of my physical body. So I "leave" my body to get the dream started, but then I have to get out of my room.

I used to take the long way, going downstairs and out one of the doors, then I graduated to jumping out the window. Oh yeah, and teleporting did nothing but move me a few hundred feet at most. But now, I have discovered portals. Heck yes.

Arguing with dream characters weather or not I can make my hands look like in real life
Not to mention the fact that I woke up because I was angry with them with them

This morning. I was in a regular dream, and then it hit me - "I'm DREAMING!" So my eyelids open and I can see my old dream on top of my eyelids. Well, I opened my eyes 75% and then I didn't want to wake from my dream so I shut my eyes and woke up.

      False awakening.
