Eamo24 liked post by OneUp On thread : Which is better for induction - critical-awareness or self-awareness?
Sorry I don't listen to anything from Wikipedia. Anybody can go there and change things as long as you also have "valid references" which could be anything, to back you up. So, that being said I...

Eamo24 liked post by Sageous On thread : Which is better for induction - critical-awareness or self-awareness?
^^ Though that definition for self-awareness seems a bit lacking, it still works with what I was saying. What also works, especially in the context of LD'ing, is the definition I've been using here...

Eamo24 liked post by Sageous On thread : What happened? Post Your WILD Attempts, Good or Bad, Here
^^ Excellent post/synopsis of this whole business, Louai, and well said! I just want to comment on one small but significant point: No, you don't. It is more than possible to maintain your...

Eamo24 liked post by OneUp On thread : Which is better for induction - critical-awareness or self-awareness?
What? No, that's not how it works man. As Sageous said, Self Awareness is lucidity. If you are self aware in a dream, you are lucid. Otherwise it'd be completely pointless to be practicing a lucid...

Eamo24 liked post by ParanoidLlama On thread : What is the most DRAMATIC way to boost dream recall?
I don't really think there's any fast way or "magic technique" to improve dream recall. As long as you are consistent and put effort into journaling your dreams every night, you'll naturally get...

Eamo24 liked post by Oktek On thread : Which is better for induction - critical-awareness or self-awareness?
Critical-awareness is better IMO. There are dreams, where you are self-aware and these are sure to be more vivid, memorable etc. but aren't lucid most of the time. You must catch that difference...

Eamo24 liked post by Sageous On thread : Which is better for induction - critical-awareness or self-awareness?
I think you get this, but just to be clear: Self-awareness is not important for enhancing lucidity, it is lucidity. Also, memory access (a product of self-awareness, BTW) is essential for completing...

Eamo24 liked post by Sageous On thread : Which is better for induction - critical-awareness or self-awareness?
I think critical awareness is a tool for developing self-awareness, so comparison of the two seems very much an apples and oranges situation. Lucidity might be made more accessible using critical...

Eamo24 liked post by FryingMan On thread : Which is better for induction - critical-awareness or self-awareness?
To me they feel like two sides of the same coin. Maybe because I do both of them. I think one segues nicely into the other. If you're exercising your critical faculty, just who or what is...

Eamo24 liked post by FryingMan On thread : Only seem to become lucid when not “trying”
While it is with a lot of certainty that we can say "we basically don't know jack about dreaming" and lucid dreaming in particular, there is an apparent really uncanny, high correlation with "giving...

Eamo24 liked post by Zaephr On thread : Only seem to become lucid when not “trying”
I have a similar case as well, after a while of focusing intently on lucid dreaming and suddenly dropping it one night, I experience a lucid dream. There are clearly a lot of factors to consider, but...

Eamo24 liked post by OneUp On thread : Only seem to become lucid when not “trying”
Zoth summed it up pretty good. I used to think the exact same thing as you Eamo. For instance, back when I first started practicing self awareness and DILD in general, I would practice them for 2...

Eamo24 liked post by cmind On thread : Only seem to become lucid when not “trying”
Warning: a controversial opinion is about to be expressed. This is why DILD is not a good technique; the successes are so rare that it's very difficult to learn what really works. It's like...

Eamo24 liked post by Zoth On thread : Only seem to become lucid when not “trying”
That's a hard thing to assert: you can simply be getting that impression due the fact that you "stop trying" after a few days, and that coincidentally all that training of the past period finally...

Eamo24 liked post by MisakaMikoto On thread : How often should i perform reality checks, would you suggest?
Hi People, I've been wanting to switch my focus fully onto DILD/MILD type techniques, since even if i manage to WILD/DEILD they are rather unstable and sudden ending while stabilizing them tends...
