I've had experiences like this too, which I usually consider low-level or semilucidity. Occasionally, I have definitely become aware in a dream that I was not inhabiting waking life, even if I didn't...

Your experience makes me think of someone who's recently lost use of their, let's say, legs. Getting frustrated, saying "those legs are me! Why won't they do what I want! Stupid legs!" I guess dreams...

Hello Dreamviews, I was reading up on the Chariot Tarot card. The author's religious views were not compatible with mine but he got me thinking. He described the card in 2 parts. First, a...

Most of my dreams these days are what you describe, Opalwolf; I see it more as very low-level lucidity, but "passive" seems a good term. I also think that this passive lucidity is, for me, a...

It's funny how it seems our "dream self" is learning... For example, I know I can't fly in waking life but I've done it many times in lucid dreams so now, I don't need to be lucid, per se, to think...

    lee harvey oswald

by opalwolf on 12-15-2012 at 08:28 AM
    12/14/2012

last night i had a dream i was riding a bike to a movie set for a new batman movie. i was going to be an extra. i sat down on a couch and talked with some of the actors. i received a script and saw that i was an extra henchman in a "vice gang". i introduced myself to one of the actors. he told me his name was "lee" and looked at me like i should know him. then he said his name was lee harvey oswald. i didn't realize who it was at the time but told him the name rang a bell. the dream transitioned into semi lucidity when i saw a piece of paper that told me to remember this dream when i woke up because i was dreaming. then i woke up. i feel like this dream is very significant but every time i tell someone they don't seem to care much. typical.

dream 1/2. steve drives me somewhere

by opalwolf on 02-18-2011 at 05:02 AM
steve was driving me somewhere and we were talking and i tried to take pictures of some light up birds on my phone. they were flying high in the sky and they looked really cool. at first i thought they were fireflies. but steve told me they were birds. i wanted to take pictures of them with my phone. i started to try and then i noticed i could zoom in really close to them, and then turn the camera 360 degrees from that point. it was amazing. it was like i was flying with them. swooping over mountainous terrain and just gliding along. it was a really great dream. i'm not sure where steve was driving to or if i returned to the "car imagery" once i was flying with the birds.

1/5/2011 - six eyed bird flock checks me out

by opalwolf on 02-06-2011 at 06:03 AM
    1/5/2011

multiple lucid dreams last night, they all occurred in a row. i really feel weird about the way i was able to stay in my lucid dream. i achieved the ability to stay inside the dream and experiment with all sorts of things. i also saw many eyed birds. i jumped off a cliff. flew. did all sorts of things. i remember exploring an area and flying over gently to see someone. i was also inside some sort of obstacle course in my mind. it was very exciting. i am not sure the "key" to staying inside the lucid dream. but i had definitely achieved it. it was wonderful!
the strange thing about these dreams is that they were basically WILD (wake induced lucid dreams) where i went from being aware and awake straight into the dream realm.
i also believe i met and talked to my "dream guide" when he/she was in male form. it was really an experience. i asked them who they were and they said something i can't really remember… that they were "just a man" or something like that.
the whole experience was amazing! i'm feeling like i've made a huge step on my path towards being a true lucid dreamer!
