I've never slowed down time. However, when I was younger, my friend got me to believe in magic. He did so with all these illusions and such that would make it seem real. Everything he did was absolutely real, just mind-tricks.

For instance, he taught me that, with self-affirmation, one can eliminate pain from the body. I learned that in 5th grade.

One of the things he taught me to do, however, was dilate time. I could slow it down enough to pick out individual things on the highway blurring past. I also remember one incident where I was in the shower, and I was messing with the time dilation. There was a very steady drip because one knob was turned, and at will, I made it drip up to twice as fast. It was simple time dilation with self-affirmation. Good stuff.

One time when i was watching the 2009 NHL playoffs, something AMAZING happened in the Carolina/Devils game 7 match. It was the most awe inspiring moment of my life, watching what i was witnissing was just jaw dropping, and mixxed with the announcer yelling what happened i could feel as if time was slowing down, i mean REALLY slowing down. I have never felt something quite profound like that in my life. Of course time did not really slow down,it went at it's normal pace but the feeling was pure "WWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW" at the moment i was in watching the last 5 or so minutes of the 3rd period. It was quite an epic feeling. Seems alot of people felt like this too watchng that last 5 or so minutes. As the announcer was yelling what was happening, he was having an orgasm watching the magic that happened on the ice, i could hear his words come out at a much slower pace. That was probably a once in a life time thing that happened to me.

It often feels like time slows down when I'm playing DDR. I haven't figured out how to do it at will though.

But, anyways, what I had was a warped kind of placebo/ some other weird effect where I believed I was doing magic. I would look and focus at the drops, and they would slow down as they fell. Because I believed it, my brain made it happen, I suppose.

I've been practicing this and I can pretty much do it. I was watching the news and thought of this, so I looked at the text scrolling at the bottom. I was able to make it go normal speed, slowed speed, but I'm not sure if I made it go fast or not.

If you are taller, time goes slower for you.

Its fact.

Often for me, if I end up in either a day dream, or I am tired and I end up half asleep, what would happen is I would have dreams/day dreams that seem like they lasted about an hour or more, and no more than 3-5 minutes have passed.

This may be a similar thing. Dreams dilate time a lot. Even day dreams (if deep enough)

Of course, you're not really stopping time. When the flow of time seems to flux, it's because of something akin to self-hypnosis.

Well, i think time is certainly only as it is observed by the human mind, but i dont know about the super human math stuff, after all your brain can only operate as fast as humanly possible. you would need to speed up your other bodily functions as well so that you could increase oxygen and blood flow which could have potential side effects id overused, but it is worth trying as is everything

I actually spent about 3 weeks on and off trying, and just before the finalized step, I got a message from Ninja9578 telling me that after some lengthy debate by the staff, Auto-Suggestion was no longer recognized as a viable induction method of lucid dreaming.

Really? I seem to recall reading some autosuggestion-y tutorials on this site... That was about a year ago though.

Still, neat stuff. Maybe I'll try it sometime.
