Exclamation Do Reality Checks, its a proved method that affects everyone?

I dont know if i am posting in the right section.
and i am not going to do a Research, i just tough this was the place to discuss it.

I am LDing for 6 months now, and i had already 13 LDs.
And i never needed to do the Reality Check to make me Lucid.

In the first 4 months i was doing every 10min, ou 30min, and asking if that was reality.
In this 4 months i had 5 LDs, and the lucidty in all of them came alone.. The RC just helped me to be unfeared, and 110% sure it was a dream (cuz i already was a 100% sure)

In the last 2 months i stopped doin RC, and i had 8 LDs.. The lucidity came just like in the first 5 lucids.. alone.
The RC was just really useful in 2 of this 8, that the dream was so 110% real, that i was not believing it could be a dream.. i did it, and i was 110% lucid again.

      ___

      So i question myself..
Is RC a method that works for everyone?
It clearly dont work for me at all..

You open the door, and throw away the keys. Someone is my head, but its not me.

I've never become lucid after doing a reality check, as I've heard with most people. I become lucid through a sudden (and sometimes overwhelming) realization that I'm dreaming, and then use a reality check just to make sure.

After all, I don't want to fall off a 100-story building in real life because I tried to fly.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Puffin's description of becoming lucid apply's to my personal experiences. First you become lucid than you use a reality check to make sure you are lucid. But i have encountered a dream where i did allot of reality checks including.

Looking at your hands counting you fingers and look if they are strange
Looking in a mirror and looking if something is strange about the reflection of yourself
Asking yourself how did i came here wat was i doing...
Pinching your nose and closing your mouth and then try to breath trough it

After doing all of these i still didn't became lucid all of them have failed. This proves for at least me that there is no foolproof way of knowing you are dreaming.

Do not get me wrong, reality checks can be a powerful method, but not for every dream..

That's happened to me before, too. I do reality checks in a non-lucid...
They're probably because of day residue, or what you thought about or did during the day. Like when you watch a movie and the characters or plot makes its way into your dreams.

I do reality checks just out of a repetitive habit. So sometimes I just randomly do it my dreams out of habit. Like I am normally totally convinced its real no matter how ridiculous my dreams get sometimes. Then I'm like wow I can breath through my pinched nose without even expecting it to work.

It's best not to make them a habit... From previous experience.

I already wrote a long post about it. You can look for my last post in my user page.
I probably am not going to do reality checks ever.
I guess people are different and therefore different techniques can work for some and fail for others; but some of the most popular techniques seem pretty useless to me.

I don't do reality checks anymore either except for fun. Your hands almost always look weird in dreams.
Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake
