i have listened to these a handful of times, sometimes during the day, sometimes before bed, and sometimes during WBTB, mostly focusing on #3 (the hypnosis one) and pretty much ignoring#4 (the conclusion one.) i think #2 and #3 are useful and well done, thank you for this! i think the introduction and conclusion bits are ultimately distracting.

i have had three lucid dreams in the two weeks ive been listening, while my avg is one per week. two of these have been WILDS at bedtime, which is highly unusual for me and one of those was directly after listening to #3

i think it would be sweel to have a hypnosis track that you listen to specifically during WBTB or before bed that doesnt "bring you back up / out" of the relaxation. it frustrates me when ive gotten pretty good and relaxed and then at the last few moments you are to wake up and be all alert again. i would rather maintain the relaxation on into sleep.

Great to see that it's working for you! And your wants for a relaxation MP3s have not gone unnoticed, I think it would certainly be a good idea to guide people into a WILD state with hypnosis and then let sleeping take over. The only problem I can see (and probably the reason it passed my mind to do this before) is that some people take quite a long time to get to sleep, so the tape would have to be rather long. Although, I may go in with using the extra time to give suggestions to increase the possiblilitys of the person noticing that they are dreaming.... and maybe some binaurals? I haven't really looked into binaural music that much, but I think it may help....

Anyway, once again great to see its having a positive effect and thanks for the advise!

your welcome, thanks for making the recordings.

you would not HAVE to make them much longer, just sort of let them go at the bottom of the elevator and dont have them go back up. id leave them with something like "...as you drift off to sleep now you will pass through light sleep and wonderful imagery until you will soon find yourself in a fully formed dream..." etc and just let the recording end. almost every hypnosis / relaxation file i have gets you into a deeply relaxed state and then at the end they seem to think they need to quickly bring you back to alertness. i guess this makes sense if you are doing this on your lunchbreak or something, but as these are usually at bedtime or WBTB i frequently just edit the end parts off.

of course there is the option of extending the recording into the actual falling asleep and transition, but this would be extra work initially and i usually find that any external stimuli are counter productive to WILD attempts. i am also not a fan of binaurals / isochronics for actually falling asleep to, but i think they help you relax before sleep.

I think I may just edit the end, as long as the hand-drop induction isn't too hard to do while in bed. I may also do some brain-stimulation so the user experiences flashes of images and random places, to give them a place to go while dreaming and to get the reality-generator in gear (hypnosis talk for the part of your head that does the dreaming). Maybe a little slow-generation stuff as well... Anyway, thanks for your input, it's been really useful! Just thought you'd find it interesting, the speed at which you are taken out of hypnosis is done so fast as to almost make you jump, like a hypnotic slap in the face! Funny really.

I have some updates to add to this. I had another lucid last night, however, it wasn't particularly because of this file( the reason being because a character did not come up to me and say do a reality check), however, my want to lucid dream has increased dramatically, and this has helped me focus even more on the dreamlike nature of reality, which is helping me become lucid in dreams. Not sure how, but your files def solidified my want to lucid dream, like extreme. I think about it at least every 30 minutes, and then my awareness snaps back into focus that this is all a dream around me. Is quite interesting.
All of experience is fun for me, whether in a dream, or in reality, because I love existing, learning, and continuously evolving and sustaining. Then again, who knows, I may not enjoy existing so much if I caught a face full of buckshot from an angry farmer. But hey, at least I'd got out with a bang.

I had one last night too and I'm the same as you - I didn't see the character, but I still had a lucid dream which can be kinda rare. I also want to lucid dream more often and I'm exactly the same as you - I pay attention to small details now and try to wonder if it's a dream as much as possible.

First feedback from me so far: Didn't have a lucid last night, the quality of my dreams was average.
However I have to add that I'm sort of an hard patient at getting lucid it seems, since nothing worked yet and I've been trying hard and optimistic for 3 months. Well I have my theories on why it is like it is, concerning my own thought structure but that doesn't belong here.
But some praise belongs here, because part 3 really got me hypnotised for about 2-3 months which is actually a small breakthrough for me. My mind is always full of thoughts and processes information every second so it's hard to get my mind "to shut up" once in a while so achieving it for 2-3 minutes is a big step forward for me. However when you talked about how the character should walk up to me and say reality check your voice became a bit too forceful and loud and snapped me out of it. Lets see what results I get today now that I know what's coming.

Ah stupid edit time limit! What I was trying to say was 2-3 minutes of course.

Trying it a second time resulted in an pseudo reality check that night, which obviously didn't work, it wasn't caused by the character as well. Still it's again better than nothing. I won't try it today because I have a different experiment going but I'll give it a third try the next days.

I tried it two nights in a row. No real lucid dreams, though I did have a dream about flying that may have slightly bordered on lucidity. Overall I kind of feel like I wasn't really getting "into" the tapes, though that may be just me -- though I try not to, I tend to question what's going on and whether it's working whenever I listen to this sort of thing.

BRILLIANT! This shows that the psychological aspects of my tape are actually doing something, which is brilliant because recently I've only been getting replies about the hypnosis side, check back in a few days or so for an update!

thanks for the feed back, I personally can understand and really emphasise with you about the whole 'hard to lucid' matter, and have come to an abstract conclusion about this as well (I mentioned it in my first post). But what I really intend for this to do is find a way out of that, so far I'm working on a way of somehow forcing what I like to call the lucid flip-flop (as in an electrical flip-flop) which I have concluded is a state of mind that either sets you up to be a good lucid dreamer and then amplifying or sets you up to be a bad lucid dreamer. I, unfortunately fall under the category of someone who looks at it this way and so the fix to this dilemma can't help me because my mind gets around that by causing distractions. But, great headway with the hypnosis, the next set will be more WILD/hypnosis based.

very interesting, as a hypnotist I regret to inform you that you are showing signs of personality that means that you will probably struggle under taped hypnosis, although actually seeing a live hypnotist will probably yield good results as questioning minds are good for hypnosis, but it must be very carefully planned, with the person in mind. But do stay on and try the next batch if you want, the more the merrier!

Okay! Here's the status so far, and where it's going: People seem to be more affected by the hypnosis, while being subconsciously affected by the psychology (which is to be expected) so I feel I need to give the subconscious a bit of a booster, giving it a properly good chance of working well. So what I intend to do is create an/some extension MP3(s) to listen to while you are going to sleep, which should put you straight through a WILD induction. This should be ready about mid-week, in the meantime I will send out the current MP3s to more people who have asked. I would also like to thank Puffin, Moto, zhineTech and StaySharp for the excellent contributions and though-provoking questions and ideas!

I hope to contribute even further to this if I can. I will listen to it a third time today and see what's happening, I'll combine it with a few seperate experiments as well. If that still won't work I'll gladly wait for your next set of mp3s. I'm not GLaDOS but gotta keep on testing anyway.

I've listened the mp3 couple times yesterday and today. I didnt have a lucid last night, but I really like the hypnotic part! the world that waits for me at the end of the elevator is so vivid and real, that I cannot believe I'm actually visualizing it.

Hello Blayzeing, I was wondering if I could also get the mp3 you made. I would be really interrested in trying them.
I only hope they will work even if english is not my native language.

Okay, annnddd I'm back! sorry I lost touch there you guys, I had a storm of work to do and absolutely NO time to do it in! Anyway, I will post a link to the latest part hopefully tonight (at a push) or tomorrow (please note it will be an edited version of Part 3). Once again, sorry for not keeping in touch, had a lot to do. But for you people that want the MP3s, I will now post the links here, so click all you want!

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the recordings, it would be advised that you listen to them spread throughout the day, with even gaps inbetween. Word of advice: Make sure that the day(s) you listen to these you can have a good-night's sleep. Also DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE RECORDINGS WHILE OPERATING A VECHICLE, as they make you feel tired (also note the owness is on you to tell other people this warning if you do spread the MP3 files).

      Part 1: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9845157/part%201.mp3
      part 2: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9845157/part%202.mp3
      Part 3: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9845157/part%203.mp3
      part 4: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9845157/part%204%20%20final.mp3

Please reply with the results, and please remember that these are my first recorded hypnosis MP3s, I usally just walk up to people and do it.

      Happy Dreaming,
      -Blayzeing

Hi really sorry I haven't replied untill now but we have had a few deaths in the family since you sent them out and i forgot to reply, so here is my findings...the first 4 days of listening to them nothing but after listening for the 5th day i did that night have a lucid and I can also say I have had more lucids than usual and had a night where i had one after another with the DEILD method, to sum it up I have had more lucids than usual and that is going way back as mine started as a child naturally, I reckon these MP3's have definatley boosted them up..thanks and if you have any more to come I would be honoured to try them and see if my count goes up higher..thankies and job well done
