      Thumbs up Tradl3s's Lucid-Booster

      I have conducted my own Lucid Booster. i got the idea from here; http://www.dreamviews.com/research/1...d-booster.html
      And decided to make my own. Here are the things you must do:

      -No Masturbation (Apparently it decreases dream recall.)
      -ADA (All-Day awareness)
      -Reality checks If your too lazy/don't have motivation for a bunch of reality checks, just try sticking with one reality check
      through out the day.

      -Stop Drop and roll technique (It's not what you think it is. what you do is lie on your back, arms at side and ankles are not crossed, and resist the urge to roll over, and you will feel your body fall asleep.) Stops insomnia, not really anything for getting lucid.

      Feel free to try. posting your results with this will help me alot.
      Oh, one more thing. Using this in combination with MILD (or perhaps WILD, i've never tried WILD at all, though.) will also probably be great.

      I was wrong. Masturbation INCREASES Dream recall. (And somewhat affects vividness in a good way.)

      Masturbating once every now and then will probably increase recall. Masturbating often will decrease it, guaranteed.

      In my experience, this is false. I haven't had any issues with recall related to masturbating. My recall decrease is 100% related to stress.

      I would guess so. It would make logical sense that that would happen in most cases if you overdid it. But again, I'm just talking about the neurochemistry side of things. If those receptors have lower activity, which they will from those chemicals being released in high amounts so often, then it should lower your chances of having good recall. It's probably not going to be something that significant, but it should make some difference.

      Hope people don't view this post as an incentive to collective masturbation (), but it would be interesting to make an experiment off of this.

      I say this because even though Alyzarian makes a compelling argument, I'd still say there might be some third variables that come into play in this specific scenario. Take it that one of the ways claimed to increase dream recall is by journaling. That would make it so that people, just by journaling, would be improving that dream recall, affecting the results.
      The conditions could be:

      a) sample masturbates daily, performs dream journalling
      b) sample masturbates twice per month, performs dream journalling

      You'd basically have to use the same people throughout the experiment, because it's very hard to say the least to compare one person's dream recall with another, at least in terms of gradual variation. I also wonder how you would effectively measure dream recall improvements. Quantity only or also quality? But who cares right, as a correctional study it would be interesting enough to see a negative correlation.

      On the other hand, I assume people would hate to be told when to masturbate

      I'm not sure where I stand this. Generally the information on whether sexual acts degrades rem activity seems to be non-existent, so being the curious guy I am I tried formulating it on my own, however I kept hitting blocks. There were too much things I had to take into account so I got lost

      Aside from the neurochemistry a big problems I see here is that either
      1) it may just be all in peoples head; we are excellent at spotting coincidences and making them seem reoccurring. This is also coupled with the common idea that masturbation is a "sin" or naughty act which could give people the idea that they are being punished.
      2) Masturbation physically exhausts them, which I think is unlikely to cause any effects on the dream you recall 6-8 hours later.

      If it isn't down to the chemicals released after a sexual act then I'm pretty sure it's the first one.

      i noticed that too much masturbation/sex does greatly decrease dreams i know it sucks , i'm actually going to try & do that 90 day no fap challenge & try Tradl3s lucid method hopefully it'll be worth it.

      Just make sure for purposes of research that you don't radically change your luvid dreaming habits else the data will become biased. Everything the same, just no masturbation.

      I was sort of kidding. I guess I'd be up to try something but I think I would have to masturbate more to see if a change happened, not less lol. I already only masturbate like once or twice a week at most.

      Though as it is, I'm finally starting to get back into the swing of journaling. If there was ever a time to start prepping for it it would probably be now. Hmm....
