That's cool. But I fail to see either school shootings or republicans mentioned.

However, isn't your title a bit misleading? Should be something like "Video games fail to incite school shootings, but might cure AIDS; Republicans furious"

If God made AIDS to punish the gays, then wouldn't Satan be interested in curing it?

I actually have benefited positively from playing games too, I think. At the very least, you keep on playing a challenging level until you beat it, and suddenly you get a sense of confidence and remember the life lesson that perseverance leads to success. I thought of a few life philosophies while playing Mario Party 3 as a teenager, but I forget what they are now, lol. Something about strategy, life being like a game, practice makes perfect and all that.

And then there are improved visual-motor skills that come from gaming, and improved brain function from playing puzzle games. Also, most of the new foods and recipes I learn about lately come from playing Cafe World on Facebook.
