Thread: I'm Black yet restricted from saying "nigga"? -__-

If I called a black guy a nigga, just casually, he would get upset and probably start yelling at me. I say probably, because there are other reactions he might have instead. I can tell you definitely, though, that none of them are positive.

So if I walked up to you on the street, you not knowing me, and said, "What's up nigga?" You wouldn't be offended? Because here in CA, you'd get the tar beat out of you if you aren't black... Prob get shot too

Lol, see what I did there. I said "tar" as in "tar baby", haha. I slay me. That wasn't directed toward anyone, I just found my word choice amusing

Quite the opposite actually. I wouldn't care if you said it because it's not like it's a bad word. O_O
It's just a term of endearment like I said before. I'm sorta' angry SOME(because it's not ALL) Black people that get angry when other races say "nigga". It's not something limited to race whatsoever. Niggas be niggas till' the day they aren't niggas!!! Eminem constantly says nigga...last time I checked his skin and heritage isn't very Black. xD

Okay, you didn't swear but others did. So why aren't you deleting that thread or banning them? It's still there. Cursing isn't even necessary. Adults just use excuses by saying "it's adult language" to stop kids from being disrespectful. We have freedom of speech but we're always limited to it. If I can't call someone "nigga" then why should someone else have the right to refer to things or people(even if they're not members of this site) as The B word and etc? Injustice. Anyways, I'm not getting anywhere with this. Could you lock this thread or delete it(or whatever you mods do here...)? Oh, and tell your admin friend over there that I only LEFT because I was BANNED. What do you expect me to do, stay in a room when I was obviously banned? Looooool!

I dont see how its any different from a white person calling a black man a nigger. To a black man calling another black man a nigger. People have called me name's that they also have a problem with and i can get offended even if they have the same thing as me.

I have to agree, that it sounds like some people are a bit uptight. Now I wasn't there so I don't know what happened exactly, but the appropriate thing to do, would of been to politely ask him not to use the word then drop it. Yelling then banning people isn't the right way to go about it.

Rearrange the letters in 'Nigger' and you get 'Ginger'. Fact.

It's a completely unnecessary word that makes the person seem like they're trying to boost their confidence by putting someone else down, even if that wasn't their intention. Better off speaking without a racial slur than taking the risk and purposefully putting it in there, just for effect. One of my classmates says it all the time and it bugs the hell out of me.

And regardless of who says it, it's still a profanity in my mind.
