Driver licence

How did it go to get your driver licence? I'm busy at the moment to get mine. i need to follow 20 hours with a instructor, done 4 hours so far. When this is over, i can drive without an instructor! Was just wondering if you guys had it hard to get yours? (I assume the difficulty also depends on where you live)

I got a learner's permit for 6 months, and 6 hours with an instructor. The test itself was a breeze.

I live in the US, Ohio specifically. Got my license fairly easily; some people complain about how "hard" the drivers test is, but most of those people are people I'd rather not have on the road. I didn't have any problems; both the in-car test and the written exam were easy.

Cars are useless to me. I've been on my own for nearly five years now, and even in small towns (as long as there's a grocery store and perhaps a department store) I don't require one. I just bike everywhere. Don't pay for gas, don't pay for insurance, don't pay for parking, get healthier in the process.

Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Also, my family does not trust me with driving their car. I've had a permit (expired now), and I know how to do everything except parallel parking, which I was never taught.

I live in a small town. We don't have a post office, let alone any stores. We have a gas station, though! And we have some corn. Cars are unfortunately a necessity.
