      Deepest high / drunk realizations.

What was it? Here's mine, it's about fate:

Physics only allows one thing to happen give a certain set of circumstances. Particles can only act one way, electricity can only act one way, gravity can only act one way, and even strings can only act one way. Therefore, everything that happens, has happened, or will ever happen is just based on a complex mathematical equation, all seeded by the state of the universe at the instant of creations.

This means that you don't have free will, everything that you do is predetermined by insignificant little 12-D strings. And if you could know what every string in the universe was doing at one time, you could calculate the exact state of any point in the future or past.

Having tireless work ethic and complete obsession over the improvement of one's craft will lead to greatness.

examples: Bruce Lee, Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Tiger Woods, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Warren Buffet, etc.

      (i don't drink)

      1) That there's no point in dwelling in the moment of being upset, because once you move from that moment and let it go you move out of the anger into the feeling of resolving, beginning the search for a proper resolution/understanding, therefore to a person with any sense, "staying" upset is idiocy on that persons part as they're not seeking a solution but bathing in their problem.

      2) That lies are the single most useless, degrading, hindering thing in humans, because the truth allows for a more open, quick, healthy, and intelligent flow of life. Instead of causing all the hurt and halting that occurs during and after lying.

      3) That the universe will ultimately go on without me, that i don't matter so in this i ultimately matter. This is where MY answer to life came from:

      4) The answer to life for me is : to live a life that fulfills your consciousness's "dig", the dig is the search, and i know each and every one of you reading this or not have felt the "dig".... dig it?

      5) That love is something so powerful, as is hate. So be sure to use both with caution and understanding of their power.

      6) That we relate to music so much because we're "tuned" into this awareness and it's vibrations.

      7) That no matter who dislikes me or wants me to be whatever they want, .... i have the last say, and i say i'll be me (me= is still under construction) and that for another to do this, a disconnection has to occur, and then a new connection must be made.

      8) That death isn't what you should fear, that is, you should fear a life lived in fear and awe of death and miss the extraordinary gift that is awareness, this life.

      9) That the Universe must have always existed, that there doesn't have to be a beginning nor an ending, just a reverberation, a recycling and reuse of the energy.

      10) That i've just listed 10 things, and i'll stop here... jk

Being fully aware of the air whipping by you, controlling every movement of every single atom in your body with a single thought. It's real freedom, and there's not a word good enough to describe it, so I'll just call it dreamy for now."

My roommate's dog (in Baton Rouge in 1994) is literally retarded. Literally.

A mind called consciousness itself exists, and it is manifested in many places. My brain is one of those places.

Pulp Fiction is full of hidden issues. For example, Marsellus and Butch were not permanently "cool" with each other. When they parted, seemingly for good, Marsellus did not yet know that Butch had killed Vincent.

I know how to give a speech to Congress and convince everybody in the building to end the war on drugs. (I don't really, but I thought I did one time when I was high.)

All behavior is absurd because the universe is meaningless.

The invasion of Iraq is the beginning of World War III. (I was overwhelmed with that feeling when I was stoned and watching the initial fighting. I no longer believe it.)

The car I hear driving down my street is a police car, and they are coming to arrest me because they know I am high.

All this stuff that is happening, all these issues that are concerning us, everything we have ever known and ever will know... It's just atoms doing atom stuff.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

Language is the essence of consciousness.

Samuel L. Jackson also looks like a cat when he drinks the guy's sprite when him and Travolta take the case back from those guys in their appartment.

amphetamines are stimulants and you said 'complete obsession' so i put the two together. these are supposed to be high/drunk realizations after all, and having one about a 'tireless work ethic' stands out among the others.

In Clerks when Dante helps the customer get his hand free from the Pringles can and says "Sometimes you have to let the hard to reach chips go," he's subconsciously referring to his relationship with Caitlin.

What you have said here is a very interesting philosophy known as determinism. Although the laws of physics may appear deterministic, it is not so simple. On the quantum scale things are not so clearly defined. Electrons can exist in a superposition of all locations. This introduces a element of randomness and determinism goes out the window. Also i believe their are 11 dimensions in super string theory.

I don't mean to discredit your realization i just don't like the idea that we are all unconscious products of physical reactions.

Heisenburg only says that you can't measure where an electron is, but it does have a constant location. And if string theory works out, then that will fix the ambiguity of the quantum scale. And I believe that string theory requires 12 dimensions.

Ok fair enough. I still deny this philosophy because of its troubling implications on conscious thought.

As for drunk/high revelations mine is that we are insignificant on the scale of the universe.

      Every time...

Anyway, for me, it was probably the whole point of the str trek episode from which my sig quote comes from. I was messing with my tv one night (just after smoking) and saw that star trek (TNG) was on. Remembering all the time I spent watching that show withy dad, So I put it on. It really gote thinking. I don't have the time to explain the whole episode right now, but if you've ever seen it you'll know what I mean. I'm going to try and figure out which episode it was later; one I do I'll post a link and finish explaining the whole mess.

Here's another, it came to me sober, but it's exactly the kind of thing I'd think when high, and probably came about as the result of ideas tossed about in my subconcious while high, and it is this: no perfect society/government could possibly exist, because it's all based in the concept of humans giving other humans the ability to tell them what to do ( I
mean, we're all inherently equal, that guy in charge isn't special in any way or better than anyone else).

Everything has immensely fine and complicated detail that the mind simply glosses over in daily life. So much is missed and dismissed as unimportant in waking life that I would consider it less conscious than dreaming.

my dad has a bunch of those on VHS, sadly the only running VHS player ATM is the one built into my tiny kitchen tv. At some point I'm going to be looking into buying one of those things that records from VHS to DVD, or better yet buy a capture card and record to my hard drive.
