Sleep paralysis usually hits me very suddenly, and the first few times I tried WILDing, the surprise of it broke me out. Once you do it a few times though, you'll learn to keep yourself calm. Once I hit sleep paralysis, I wait about 10 seconds, then try to literally sit up. Since I'm in SP, I don't really sit up, but I sit up in my dream. It almost feels like I'm breaking through a barrier to get into the dream world. The first time I succeeded in WILD, I broke the cardinal rule and thought about my real body. That sucked me out of the dream instantly, so try not to do it haha.
Do you mean that when you 'let your mind wander', that you phased out of awareness and then phased back in every once and a while, or were you aware the whole time?
