The last couple of nights I've been trying to WILD right at bedtime (meaning no WBTB... i have my own reasons) and i've gotten to the point where I can induce sleep paralysis. At this point I start trying to visualize something in my dreams, one of the easiest ways to do this for me is to visualize everything in my room, the walls, the dresser, the desk, the posters, the closet, even the empty space of the room. However, when I get to this point... something goes crazy with my eyes. Either they'll start twitching like mad back and forth and up and down (like in REM sleep) or they'll force themselves open. In fact the only way I can keep them closed is when I concentrate and shut them tight really hard, but this momentarily takes my attention away from my visualization and I lose it and I have to start over.

Can anyone suggest some possible reasons for this happening? Or even some techniques to remedy this problem of mine?

also sometimes I'll try to visualize something else, and I catch it for ONE instant in the corner of my eye before my mind goes all "Whoa" (like Neo) and reverts back to me being aware of being awake and not dreaming.

I feel like I'm super close to an epiphany here.
