      Transition to SP

While I feel like I have made good progress in my few attempts.

I have been trying to WILD for a while now but I seem to get stuck right before I enter SP (I have spent around 2 hours stuck at this stage before and get fatigued and lose consciousness and go to sleep). My legs, arms, lips and tongue go mostly numb and I no longer feel the need to move about, but the sensation tends to draw my mind away from counting/visualizing,which seems to prevent me from going further. I have yet to get to a stage of any HI. I've been told both to try hard to ignore sensations and to focus on them. I would love some feedback as to any approach I should take at this point to finally get into SP.

These WILDs have been done before bed because i was doing exams. Tonight is my first night finished so i plan to try a WBTB WILD for the first time hopefully more luck. any tips for WBTB?

      Thanks, Minch

It seems to me you are to awake before attempting WILD. You want to be tired enough to fall back to sleep quickly.

Tryed the WBTB last night but I only woke up for about 2 minutes to write down the previous dream then i tried to WILD. This was a bout 4 am. I think i got a bit into it and fell asleep. I'm not sure if I should try waking up for longer and becoming fully awake in order to help stay mentally awake. Or only wake up for a short time to get in WILD quickly. I remember trying to WILD last night but i never got over counting to 30 before drifting off. I'm pretty tired might try a nap today.

Hey, Minch! I've been trying this for about two or three nights, no luck yet, but I think it sounds like a good technique, so...

It seems like your trying to hard. What I mean by this is that your thinking to much about SP and WILDing while you attempt a WILD. Remember your trying to fall asleep with the least bit of conscience but you cannot do that if your keeping your mind active. Try visualizing a dream scene and just let it flow naturally like a day dream.
