According to many here it does indeed help to use a mantra, or at least remind yourself that nothing can harm you because you're dreaming.

It already sounds like you are on the right track.

Honestly, I'm probably no good with scary stuff that others experience. I almost never have bad dreams or get scared by anthing happening in them. I don''t experience the troubled sensations or thoughts others do, so the few times I have been bothered have all been easy to overcome. I think, for me, it has to do with a semi-persistent awareness that I'm dreaming and that nothing can harm me, so anxiety in dreams has never been one of my problems. It makes me curious to know how other people experience dreams.

You're so lucky, hahaha. I suffer from anxiety so it's not very easy to deal with negative emotions in dreams. But that's not really what I was asking in this thread. I'm actually wondering if there's a specific thing I can do to ease the Transition itself (like physically, so to speak). it's difficult because if I relax too much or the "wrong way," then the vibrations/high-pitched sounds make my body involuntarily jolt and I wake up; if I don't relax enough then I miss my chance to enter SP or I just lay there semi-SP. I need to achieve SP to WILD. I haven't had a WILD in weeks and it's pissing me off! I'm going to try CANWILD, but with my father as the "custom alarm noise." He's going to open my door at a specific time which hopefully will allow me to become conscious WITHOUT opening my eyes or moving so that my body thinks I'm still asleep, and then I can slip easily (hopefully) into SP.
