How do you shock yourself awake?

I've been struggling over a week to have another WILD. I had 4 after two weeks of trying and the last time I got close I woke myself up during a transition. Since then I haven't been able to get past SP without falling asleep. After reading back on my WILD entries I remember my most effortless WILDs occurring after I have been shocked awake by an alarm or something similar. I've tried cold water but it hasn't worked. I've stayed up for an hour and a half during WBTB and that also did not work. Is there anything that can be used to obtain that shock awake state?
