      Entering sleep paralysis

Hey everyone! I just want to ask a quick question about getting to sleep paralysis, which will then lead to lucid dreaming/astral projection, whatever I choose. Ok, so I was able to get to sleep paralysis once, but the issue was it happened when I woke up one day, read virtually ever last thing concerning these topics, went back to sleep, blacked out, woke up and I was paralyzed and saw random geometric images. I haven't been able to replicate this since, and it's been days! So I completely relax, even to the point where I can no longer feel my legs, or anything up to my neck. They have slight tingling here and there, but no matter how long I sit there and count my breathes or anything, it's just not going to HH. Can anyone please tell me what I should be doing once I'm so relaxed that I can't feel most of my body? And don't say wait 5min and it will happen, because I've laid there for far far longer and nothing happens. Please help soon, thanks!

You don't need SP to enter lucid dreams. SP is just one of the milestones on the road to LD. And that's only for one type of LD - WILD. If you are like me or thousands of other lucid dreamers that DON'T experience SP, you will be waiting in your bed for it for hours without getting into LD. (mind you, we all get into it, just not aware of it)

And if you want to lucid dream by different technique - DILD, than SP is of no issue whatsoever. This is much easier technique to start with, than with WILD.

Please check out DV Wiki for tutorials for both techniques and much more. If you have your mind set on WILD, check out this WILD class.. Happy dreams

Are you trying this after having already been asleep for some time, like in your first experience? If not, that may be the problem.

Saying that, if you can't do it, you can't do it. I've tried WILDing a few times and got SP once, so I don't have much experience in the matter, but why not try the vast array of other techniques?

Thanks for the responses! And yes, since I entered it once, I know I am cabable of entering SP while conscious. Ok, I'll try doing it after waking up as opposed to naps which is what I've been trying most of the time. Thanks!

Thanks for that first link! I think I got lucky my first time and did it during REM sleep. After reading that article, it sounds like you must be in REM sleep to succeed. Thanks again, and I'll post any results if I get them

And yes, thanks for our reply. I have been trying in the afternoon, I'll try in the morning again and let you know if it works
