Not paranormal. Those are hallucinations, they don't really exist, the are just product of your mind. Can't hurt you.

But if you scared, you should not do WILD, as the visions may be scary if you think they will be so. I recommend you practice for DILD. All the benefits of a lucid dream, without anxiety of a WILD. You can try WILD later, when you have more experience. It will also be easier then. Happy dreams

Oh, and many people don't get any hallucinations, or they are not scary at all.

You may actually enjoy the hallucinations! if you have not experienced it yet, it can be almost as amazing as an LD. Think swirling colors, bells chiming, a feeeling of flying, and so much more. It could be almost any kind of hallucinations. If you take Gab's advice and just realize none of its real, you will have a ball. Try it out, worst case, you don't like it and you wake yourself up and have a story to tell.

Yeah, the one time I had SP it was fine and just got colors (didn't fully form) and some soft voices that weren't scary at all. You will be fine
      Attempting WILD: 0

Have achieved SP with mild HI previously, haven't attempted much in the past.

That was actually very smart. Keep thinking like that and pretty soon when you in a dream or FA, you will think the same and it will get you lucid. And congrats on facing your fear.

sometimes it can be scary yes, ive been scared many times attempting to WILD or DEILD. But, its more of a roller coaster type feeling. Youre scared at first but then youre in awe and love the experience. The auditory hallucinations and hypnagogics ive seen blew my mind.

The fear is one big barrier that stops many people from achieving their goal of lucid dreaming. But you have to know that if you see Slenderman or Freddy Krueger, sorry for giving you mind ideas but it needs to be said. You have to realize that it's YOU that created that fear. So deal with the fear right now, they can't hurt you for real so what is there really to be afraid of? It's only the fear itself and you need to be in control of your emotions.

I have actually never experienced scary sleep paralysis hallucinations, probably because I am not afraid. But when I for example walk into a "haunted" house with my scared friends, I am always the bravest, you know why? Because I want to see the ghost! Because if I see one I will know that there are ghosts and be happy of that proof.

So if I would see a ghost I would probably run to it and hug it, maybe that's why I never see any, the ghost is afraid of me

Have the same mindset when it comes to your nightly sleep paralysis experiences, don't fear the monster welcome it and it will leave you alone, hopefuly become your friend

LOL even Monsters Inc taught me that! Monsters Inc. Trailer - YouTube

If you expect the worst, you will get it, so keep a positive outlook! I had no idea what my transition would be like when I started trying to WILD. When I first did, I felt paralyzed by vibration and heard a loud noise approaching. It felt like I was about to be run over by a train! To make matters worse, I slipped into an old nightmare, with a monster from childhood. And you know what I did? I picked up the monster, bit it in half, and threw away the pieces. Since then, I've never heard the noise during transitions, and the vibrations are mild and even fun, because I know what I'll get afterward. I've also heard a crowd of people talking and strains of music, and in my lucid dreams I've flown, talked to people I miss, controlled the elements, and done TONS of awesome things, with no nightmares since. My tl;dr is: the rewards of controlling your lucid dreams are great, and you should never let fear stop you from something you want to do (that is perfectly safe, mind you), or you'll never get to experience the amazing things that lie in store.
