      Visualing during wild

I need a few tips and pointers on how to visualize while attempting wild. My problem is when I visualize during wild, I can only do it for about 3 min before I have to recycled the visualization. For example, I am in a city with a lot of stores or river flowing down stream; I walk and imagine hearing footsteps and eating an apple. feeling the texture of the Apple and feeling the wind blowing into my face. It's fine until I finish the apple 3 min later or reach the end of the passageway then my mind goes blank.

I get to the point where my body feels so light but no numb.

Try to not control the visualization completely it gets very limited, while you do it try to notice other things that you didn't consciously thought about.

If you imagine a forrest you might suddenly see a strange bush that you are sure you didn't "created" yourself, pay attention to this and see where it leads you and go with the flow.

You might see something else like a person try to behave like it was already a dream (because it basically is) and explore!

At some point you might think "Oh when did the visualization got this vivid?" and you realize that you have transitionen to the dream.

      Good luck

Mastermind, thanks, that makes complete sense.

Can more people chime in and give me your take on this?

You can, of course, visualize anything you like. But if you are trying to incubate a dream, I think best thing to visualize is something you are very familiar with, have good memories attached to it, you can recall how the place feels, smells, air temperature and such. Like your childhood room, school room, or similar.

But I agree with MasterMind, that you should not force it or try to controll it too much. Whatewer you will see, try to work with that, or just observe and see where it takes you. The point is, not to pay too much attention to it, to the point, where you get excited that it works. Just a passive observer.

I completely agree with mastermind, there are basically two ways to do it. The first (maybe tougher) one depends on falling into a day dream where you are not aware that you are controlling anything but are aware that you will have to suddenly gain consciousness when you reach far enough, I.E falling asleep method.

It's quite easy to do, all you have to do is start trying to sleep and think about scenarios with the intention of walking up before you enter the dream. As you get pulled into the daydream you will eventually realize you have to transition, it will take some practise but eventually becomes easy.

The second method is almost fully consciously entering the dream and it may seem easier to do at first it can be hard to keep the concentration. You will have to again try loose focus of your body completely and immerse yourself into your imagination. While there is not as much chance in accidentaly falling asleep it can be harder to keep simulating an environment without accidentely thinking of stuff around you.

Thanks gab. I will take it into consideration.

Dutchraptor, wow you pretty much summed up how I feel about wild.

I have had one lucid ever since I started. How I obtained was by the first method. From what I can tell, this method is similar to dild if I'm not mistaken.

The second method is the hardest in my opinion because when I wake up after 4-5 hours of sleep, I would only stay up to go to the restroom and attempt my wild from there. I would probably say the time span of me waking up and going to the restroom is about 2 minutes. Keep in mind I am still drowsy after the 2 min, but the wild attempt would keep me up for 45 to an hour and a half. The more I stay up, the more I become more awake. I guess I'm too aware? Time does pass by rather quickly so I would just scrap the wild and go back to sleep.

Some say to stop letting your mind run freely, others say to use your five senses, etc etc. I guess everyone has their own techniques that works, and i just have to find mine.

It seems like the general consensus is to keep it simple. I have spent a few days on this forum reading tutorials (still haven't even graced the surface lol) and personal experiences, and I have to say it has both helped and confused me lol.

Thanks everyone for leading me in the right direction again I think. I'll give a try tonight and see how it goes.
