Question Could you call this Improvement?

Hi Everyone. Im new to this forum though i have been reading a lot of posts recently

Well recently i began Wilding for real like 5 days ago. some posts says that to wild you have to lay still like for an hour, others say you have to fall asleep but still remain awake.
i first heard about the second after reading recent posts and decided to test that out.

i have been keen about LD for a year now and had about 7-8 spontaneous ones.

      Well to the point.

2 days ago i was simply laying on my side repeating a mantra for myself about 1.50
not sure if it was HI passing through my eyes. Anyway i was still but my heart kept beating fast everytime i felt any vibrations. i was up for 1h. then i fell asleep and remember a voice telling me, i came up with myself dreaming and was like OMG. Remembered what i was doing and forced my eyes open, then did a reality check in my bed and i was awake...
      it was then 3.34.

tonight i tried the other method "falling asleep".
i went to bed 8 o`clock but couldnt sleep becouse of the small chattering from outside the bedrom.(it was a special case yesterday)

I fell asleep 11.0 and woke up 2.55 with a wake up alarm.
I didnt decide to wild then so i tried my best to fall asleep, but i couldnt stop thinking about it. but i was focusing on falling asleep on the same time so my heartbeat didnt rise up. So there i was switching positions in bed till 5.o`clock when i finally went unconscious.
my dream was extreamly vivid and i remember myself feeling every touch with my hands.
i had my moments when i believed i was lucid and in the dream i kept doing whatever
i remember a voice in my head telling me i had bad dream control
anyway i had another dream right after that and finally the last dream.

I had a feeling of me in bed trying to sleep. was some kind of HI i kept hearing a small ringing in my ears like a Tinnitus.
And the Hypnagogicgoing on in my eyelids was strangely white
      (has never happned before)

I could see two small texts emerging too.
then everything went black. and the white came back again.
i pened my eyes, my body felt all heavy and the small ringing kept on.
the room was fully dark, coldnt see a shit.
the curtain was drown (they originally arent and i dont remember them like that from earlier that night)
i was now frightened and the ringing wouldnt stop.
suddenly i realised it all had to be a dream and just as i did that i woke up and went all FML.

Thats it. im sorry if its all a mess Im not good at this.
I already red something like others trying to wild only for the vividness it givs either way if you fail, and thats kinda how i felt in my dream.

      But i have a question:

      1. I never did any serious WILD before but considering people have kept on it for months without any result, could you call my two half succsess of falling asleep and awake, asleep, awake thing like a good improvement or could it happen easily to anyone.

      2. Do i have a chance with wild? am i really cut up for it?

Any good calculations would do good pls.

I'm certainly not an expert by any means, but I think that you're very close to having a WILD. I just got into it again by having an almost success full one (I was so close) But anyway, I think it could be a sign that you're super close.

Ey thanks man. Im going to try one occasionally every night.
But about that HI going all white.
Im not shure if i was awake then and did a DILD.
Or if i was just skipping to another dream scene.

This sounds like a WILD. Congratulations! When you woke up and curtains were drawn, although that's not how you left them - that was a lucid dream. Next time when you wake up and it's dark, you can try a few things - either 'make' the curtains open, imagine sun rising, or even open your dream eyes with your dream hands.

The HI going all white - I used to get this when I was very close to LD. My field of vision behind my closed eyelids turned bright white, as if someone was shining flashlight through plexiglass. Sometimes it's not easy to tell if it was a WILD or if you fall asleep for a while and then become lucid. But either way, you got lucid and that's great.

It's true, that some tutorials say don't move at all, and some say go ahead and move. Different technique may work for different people. Learning to WILD is a long process, because no two attempts are the same.

Our latest WILD tutorial allows you to move and swallow. Please read it here. WILD (sageous). It will answer all your questions. And if you would like to read more about different HI and how to enter WILD, here is Sensations and different types of entry to a WILD. Happy dreams

But i never have the time to do anything. Those two attempts ended right after i came up with it all being a dream. And my head is all fuzzy before that.

      But i wonder.
When you get good enough to talk to a dream character, can you ask them and like program your subconscious to "aid" you in your later attempts to wild as you are trying to fall asleep but maintain a string of awereness?
      :p

Most of my LDs are super short, too. It may get better after you have more of them. Look into stabilizing a dream in DV Wiki.

But the best thing you can do is read the tutorial for WILD (sageous) I have linked for you above. Especially the part about awareness. Once you raise your daytime awareness, your dreams will last longer and they will not be "foggy".

I will have to look up on "raising awereness"a bit more.
I will note on further evolvement.
      Thanks for the help/tip
