Three different alarms? Or maybe a second alarm farther from your bed? Or maybe some notes from your pastself beside your phone? Or all these things together? I have no better adivice. |

Usually I set my alarm for around 5am, but when it goes off I suddenly can't be bothered anymore, turn it off and go straight back to sleep. |

I choose all three! ^_^ ....not sure if I have 3 alarms though :S I'll have a look, thankyou for your advice |
Get a philips wakeup lamp alarm |
What I do, is place my alarm a good distance from my bed, that way I have to move to turn it off. That way, I'm not lying in bed thinking if I should attempt a WBTB or not, since I'm already up I think I may as well do it since I've already left the bed, haha. |
Put my laptop next to my bed? I fear a bright screen would wake me up too much :S I think the main one I'll try is my alarm on the other side of my room |
Drink water before bed and everytime you get up to restroom. One of those time you get up will be at your desired WBTB time, or close enough to it. This is excellent technique also when you want to remember your dreams from early part of your sleep. Happy dreams |
wake yourself up with an internal clock. You will be much more awake much quicker. You will be able to think clearer as well. This also seems to help me fall back to sleep for my WBTBs since I wasn't jarred awake by an annoying alarm. |
I tried the alarm clock distance and the water drinking thing last night, both got me out of bed like a charm. No dreams recalled from it though |
@Brandonboss - Whats your secret at teaching yourself to wake up after every dream? |
No secret. I actually don't know how I figured it out, but one of my LD friends also knew how to do it. |
Thats incredible! I am def going to try this! Are you able to wake yourself up after every dream as well? |
Yeah, but I normally find the first dream unsatisfactory and boring, so I normally wake up after the second. |
If the dream is too boring I can't get myself to actually write it down. |
haha i feel you there, i tried what you said last night and i remember waking up but i think just went back to bed lol, i am going to work on it... |
Just make yourself stand up. That in itself will make you more awake/motivated. If im feeling really tired and nothing is working to get me up...I have a mini dance party with myself. xD. |
ill def try one of these ideas! Im just limited sometimes because my roommate wakes up fairly easily |
Mancon....that...is a brilliant idea xD |

Yepp! I was in a dream and towards the end somehow i just knew to open my eyes at exactly 7:00 a.m. approximately 5 hours from when i went to bed. I dont know if it was just luck that i did that but i will try again tonight to see if i can obtain the said results. Thanks for the advice it seems to be working so far. I then tried to WBTB/WILD, but i had alot of difficulty falling asleep for some reason... i think i just need to work on relaxing a little more. But even though i didnt become lucid, i still remembered both dreams that i woke up from which is great progress for me. |
I forgot to say side effects. I cab easily get back to sleep if it is in the middle of the night. I have troubles going back to sleep if I don't really need any more sleep. |
That is why I said to wake up five minutes before you normally do at first. |
I woke up about 4 hours and 45 minutes after i went to bed because i didnt fall asleep until 2:25 so i figured i would be good to fall back asleep right away, maybe i just woke myself up too much. lol I'm going to work on it, at least i got myself to wake up. I consider it progess. |
