      My Third Attempt

I wrote this exact article on Facebook not too long ago. Only one of my friends is a experienced lucid dreamer, however, he enters via his dreams. I heard the WILD method is much more vivid, and would like to enter this way. I'd like feedback from people of these forums if possible, on what I could do to help. I usually preform my methods while there's someone in the house and during the day. It helps me relax and be calm since I know the sounds could possibly freak me out (the whole process is strange to me, so it's natural I'd be uncomfortable by it.).

      ------------
So I got to thinking about what we were talking about lucid dreaming and figured I had some hours before work to try it.

I was laying in bed and decided to try the WILD method. IN the first couple of stages, you're supposed to see flashes of light and images. This is how it goes for me:

I lay in bed, relax, and breathe. I tell myself repeatedly "My next dream will be a lucid dream.". As I relax, I become aware of the parts of my body that are touching, say my face and my arm, or my hand and my leg. As I become aware of them, I can feel them become one. It's weird because they don't merge, but I can't tell where one begins, and one ends, but I know they're there.

As I lay there, I can feel my body become warm, once my body starts joining as explained above, my body becomes comfortable, my heart starts to beat rapidly and it raises to my throat. Once I feel this, I know it's starting. I've reached this stage twice.

Once I feel it coming, I start to panic because I know I'm going to be paralyzed and that still freaks me out. The noises and vibrations are just as startling even though I haven't been there yet. I DID see images and flashes of light. Amazing really. I'll try to explain it best I can, and *friend's name* can relate if possible.

When I start hallucinating, I'll see flashes of circles of light. They aren't bright, but they aren't dark either. They look like they form then vanish. Afterwards, I'll see brief pictures of landscapes. They pop in then out quickly. It'll feel like my eyes are open, so I'll try to shut them harder till I realize that they're already closed. More images form from the flashes of light until I see full blown pictures.

This surprised the crud out of me, and I jumped. I WAS SO CLOSE. But I'll get it. It might not be today or tomorrow, but I'll do it.

Let me ask you first and hopefully put your mind at ease. Do you normally feel paralyzed as you going to sleep? As in you can't move at all no matter what? Because if not, that means that you don't get SP regularly and you will not experience it during your WILD attempts either. So, that's one thing you don't need to worry about.

And here is good news #2. Yes, you were close. The landscape you have seen is most likely already a dream formed. All you have to do is enter it. You can either wait for it to envelope you, or look at the ground in the dream and "wish" yourself there.

Please be advised, that the lights, images and landscapes are just one of the possible things you can see/feel/hear/experience during WILDing. Next time, you may not see anything, but have some sensations of movements, or hear something. So don't rely on something, because if you wait for it next time and it doesn't come, you will lose your chance at lucidity.

Although all of the sensations and hypnagogic hallucinations are best observed passively, they can indicate where in the process you are. (if they show up, that is).
I have described the possible sensations/HH and how to enter WILD from there in Sensations and types of entry into WILD. Please feel free to ask anything about it.

And here is a great WILD (sageous) tutorial.

      Happy dreams

Thanks for the links Gab. :3

I've managed to read through his entire schooling lesson minus lesson seven which I will get to when I sleep.

I'm still left with a few questions and not enough answers. When I find some time, I'll definitely try to get them asked because they're itching at the back of my head.
