Day one: failed |
|
Minasan konnichiwa, I'm back from my unintentional 6 month hiatus from dream views and lucid dreaming. One reason why I stopped is cause I read some creepy pasta stories and I don't want them influencing my dreams. But that's not what this thread is about, this is about my journey to successfully having a WILD dream. I will be posting everyday in this thread about my progess until I reach my goal of having a successful WILD and get into Aincrad from sword art online. After that I might make a thread about my journey to the 100th floor. But I I'll think about that when I get there. |

Good luck! I wish you well. I am commenting to keep track of your progress. Man I need to watch sword art online. Everyone here and IRL are telling me to. |

Good point mastermind. I had looked at my WILDs as a failure until a couple days ago. I realized that for the past 4 months I had had 6 WILDs. This is the end of my 6th month of LDing. I realized that I was actually doing really good with WILDs. More than 1 a month. Yeah, I have way more DILDs and tried just as hard for both, but I am still on good track. This raised my WILD confidence and I had a WILD yesterday and last night. |

Just to add an analogy. |

Thanks for the advice everybody I didn't think anybody looked at this thread |
|
I see everything. |

Hey! |
|
I would recommend finding your anchor... |
|
I admire your willingness to look at the bright side of things, but failures show you where you went wrong. They teach you how not to do something. So I guess I slightly disagree, and I only say so because it needs to be said. Learn from your failures, don't ignore them. |

I Dreamed a Dream
In it, saw people I've never seen
Gone places I've never been
And done things I'd do again.

Well when you are trying to WILD, you are effectively trying to fall asleep while conscious. Stay too conscious and you stay awake. Not enough and you fall asleep. An anchor is something that if you use it you keep that balance. People use counting or lights or images. I use my mantra. so I see WILDing as trying to find that perfect balance by getting just enough sleep until I perfect my anchor. Normally 5-6 hours gets you in the right mood. good luck. This is the method I use. |

Day three: Close? |
|
I find counting to be to distracting and intensive to work. what i do is, i'm pretending to be somewhat swimming. registering each stroke very closely. i find that this also helps with the weird feelings and sensations sinds i'm already thinking about weightlessness. bit it is a bit harder to keep consciousness. |

Day eight: my third attempt |
|
I would recommend being more consistent with attempts. Doing it for a month will not be enough of a test run unless you try it a lot. |
|
Day 10 my fifth attempt: success? |
