      Sleep Paralysis Questions

I know you probably have like 100+ threads about this so I'm sorry for making another but I have questions for you, I've had sleep paralysis like two or three times before I knew about lucid dreaming but about 5 months ago I started trying to lucid dream, iv had no luck so far but I'm interested in the WILD method and I know that one of the ways to achieve a WILD is through sleep paralysis and this is the route I'm interested in.

For the last week I've been trying to achieve sleep paralysis not just for lucidity but I just want to experience SP and maybe an OBE.

So I seen a few you tube videos but one stood out it seemed like a good method, it said that I should wake up early go about my day but at around 7 or 8pm to go asleep for between an hour or two then wake up do whatever for about an hour no more than two then go back to bed and relax and wait for it to kick in.

So what's your opinions on this, what is the simplest way to achieve sleep paralysis, how long will it take for the paralysis to start.

Also just an extra question in your opinions do you find that Binural Beats or Isochromic tones actually work what type works bests like what Hz would you recommend.

      Thank you for your time.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

I'm sorry you had to see the videos that advocate SP as necessery step in WILDing. because it's not.

Sleep paralysis is something that will 'kick in' by itself, after you start dreaming. It's a natural mechanism put in place by our body, so we don't act out our dreams and get hurt. It can not be achieved just by wanting it to happen, before it is time for it to happen.

To try to get into SP before you try to achieve LD is an unnecessary and impossible to reach step. I shouldn't even call it a step, because it has nothing to do with lucid dreaming.

If someone has SP disorder, which means that paralysis kicks in sooner than it should, or fails to disengage when you wake up, it can be used to have OBEs or LD. Only because that state of total relaxation is what you need to have WILD or OBE.

But this state of relaxation comes before you even start to dream and reach SP. So by the time your body engages SP, you are already relaxed and dreaming, wheather lucidly or not. And by then, I personally don't care if SP had started or not. I have already reached my goal of dreaming while still aware. I'm not about to check if I'm in SP or not. Why would I, anyway, SP is irrelevant.

I would recommend a WILD (sageous) tutorial, that explaines the whole WILDing process in great detail. Hope this helps with sheding some light on SP. Please ask, if you have any other question.
