After they stop, have you tried standing up or rolling out? Often times you are already in LD. From my last attempts I'm realizing, that I'm able to get up/roll out much earlier, then I thought I could. |

I have attempted WILD 6 or so times, and have succeeded twice. All of these times I have been able to get into HH very easily, but four times HH simply stopped, and ruined my attempt. My attempts are similar to the WILDCAT technique, since for them I wake up 30-45 minutes before my normal awakening. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated. |

May I ask how the stopping of the HH ruined your attempt? Do you get jolted awake and can't get back to sleep? Or something else? If it just stops, and you are aware that it did, I suggest you focus on visualizing your dream instead. That way, you'll still be in that dreamy mindset and possibly still push through with a lucid. Cheers! |

Visualizing works. Another technique that I used just this morning is the 'reach out and grab something' method, which involves just imagining you're touching a wall or a chair or something. Specifically, recreate the feeling in your imaginary fingertips of touching something. It's very easy to do, even when you're awake. You might want to practice this a few times before your WILD. Anyway, if you persist with the tactile fantasy for more than a few seconds (in the hypnagogic state, of course) it tends to make a whole dream form. |
