      problem of DEILDing...

In the past few days,, i was trying to DEILD with no success..
DEILD is to wake up in rem and fall back into it without moving .. And i tried it this morning,,
I woke up this morning by alarm and didnt move,,and still remember the dream few seconds ago.. also my heart beating much faster..
but i stay still and relax for 1 minute,, nothing happened:/

Ive tried successfully DEILD once before...felt the vibrations and strange sound..

Was my alarm too loud/ soft?(it just rang for 3 seconds)
      too excited?(heart beating so fast)

      ive got another question..
Is it easier to be waken up by alarm in rem sleep than non rem sleep?
      Thankyou so much for helping!!

In my opinion, how much you wake up is more important than if you move. Of course, if you don't move, you have a better chance to not wake up too much.

Alarm that wakes you up gently, gradually, is the best. Some soft sound, maybe just a vibration.

I agree. I use this method as much as possible and I always have to turn over first because I wake up naturally. With practice you can turn over without opening your eyes or thinking too much and slip right back into dreaming.

I have found myself in the same dilemma with DEILDs (with the quick heartbeats.

In my case its probably excitement. But i wake up naturally without the use of alarms about 6-7 o'clock.

As said above im going to add what if you where too awake? If you find yourself thinking about your heart beating intense and how long you have been lying there in bed you might just have woken yourself up too much for the logical brain to kick in.

If you find yourself too awake, you can go for a WILD and you have a pretty good chance at it. You are still very relaxed from sleeping, and relaxation part is usually the longest one during WILDing. Keep thinking about your previous dream or some other scenario, and basically follow WILDing steps.

      All cool

Another thing that i am doing right now is the use of autosuggestion, its about you telling yourself whatever is your goal like: " when i wake up at night i wont pay attention to my body and it will feel loose, my subconscious mind will guide me". Something like that.
If you regularily just before sleep does this. It sure is going to put itself into your subconscious and affect your regular dreams and conscious mind.

But just keep at it you have deilded once already right?
