You might have more luck if you time your attempt a little later. About half of our dreams occur in the last 2 hours of sleep, and we generally enter REM sleep more quickly the more sleep we have had. If you normally get to sleep at 12.30, try waking up at around 5.30 or 6.00 instead. Regarding yoru problem of struggling to go back to sleep, it might help if you can minimize any activity that would make you too alert. E.g., avoid turning on the light or moving around too much. |
